There’s been a lot of interest in HBO’s new gay-centric show, Looking, with many intrigued by what the network that first aired the likes of True Blood and Six Feet Under would bring us. Now the first promo has arrived, and while brief it does give us flashing looks at the likes of Jonathan Groff, Russell Tovey, Frankie Alvarez, Murray Bartlett and Scott Bakula.
The show is said to be a mix of Tales From The City and Girls, following mainly gay men in San Francisco. Groff plays Patrick, who’s professionally very successful as a video game developer, but his personal life is a bit of a disaster area. Frankie Alvarez is Patrick’s best friend, Augustin, whose ego and feisty politics make it difficult for him to settle down with a boyfriend.
The show is set to begin airing in the US on January 19th, 2014, and should spread to other parts of the globe soon afterwards.
