Just a day after it was announced that Michael Douglas had joined the cast of Ant-Man, another actor is in the mix, as THR reports that Michael Pena is in early talks for the Edgar Wright film.
It’s not known what role American Hustle and End Of Watch’s Pena is up for, but he’ll join Douglas and Paul Rudd in the movie. Douglas is Hank Pym, the inventor of the Ant-Man tech which can shrink him to insect time, while Rudd will be Scott Lang, who becomes the hero after getting hold of Pym’s technology.
The only thing known about Pena’s role is that Marvel was looking for a “tough Latino” who has to be ready for a lot of physical play. The likes of Javier Bardem and Clifton Collins Jr. were also considered.
