When it was announced that Ben Affleck would play Batman in the planned Batman Vs. Superman, there was a lot of grumbling, although since then some people have come around to the idea. Now we get our first look at the actor in costume as the Caped Crusader, along with a pic of the new Batmobile.
It has to be said he’s looking a bit more beefcake than Christian Bale was.
You’ll also notice the pics are in black and white, as Zack Snyder barely mentioned what the pic was of when he tweeted the pic of Affleck on his new Twitter account, instead saying, ‘I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman #Batmobile #Gotham http://imgur.com/3hRU6px pic.twitter.com/p5DEf6fLzJ’
But hey, perhaps Leica paid a lot for that, who knows.
In Batman Vs. Superman, Henry Cavill will be back Superman/Clark Kent, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane also returning. Newcomers include Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
The film is set to hit cinemas May 6th, 2016.
