Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara is having a busy time. Yesterday he helped announce an extension of the Harry Potter franchise, and now he’s been speaking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference. During the speech, he got around to talking about Ben Affleck’s take on the Dark Knight in Man of Steel 2.
It certainly seems like they won’t be going over the character’s origins yet again, with Tsujihara saying,”[He will be] tired and weary and seasoned and [he’s] been doing it for awhile.
He also addres the casting of Ben Affleck, which caused a lot of controversy on the Internet when it was announced last month,”[He is] perfect. We think it’s going to be huge. [The studio] could not be happier. We think it’s the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman”
Kevin Tsujihara added that a lot of announcements are expected to come out of the DC Comics’ unit at Warner Bros soon, suggesting they’re finally trying to properly rival Marvel’s success on the big screen.
