Aaron Tveit & Gavin Creel Steam Things Up With A Sexy Take On Rent’s Take Me Or Leave Me

April 7, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

aaron-tveit-gavin-creelRent may be a bit of a love it or loath it musical but it’s undoubtedly full of really great songs, ad one of the best is Take Me Or Leave. That tune has now been given a rather sexy new rendition with Les Miserables and Graceland star Aaron Tveit & Broadway star Gavin Creel.

In the musical, it’s sung by two women, whose relationship implodes when it turns into a giant argument over their very different personalities and their jealousies. While Aaron and Gavin are definitely fed up with one another in their version, they also ensure there’s an edge of sexual tension crackling through it.

The performance was part of a fundraiser for MCC Theater, which also saw Tina Fey duetting with Titus Burgess. Take a look below. [Read more…]

Crush Of The Day: Graceland’s Sexy Aaron Tveit For Bello

June 11, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

aaron-tveit-bello1-slideIf you’re anything like me, when you were watching Les Miserables your eye wasn’t drawn to the big stars but instead to the guys playing the student revolutionaries, most notable Aaron Tveit and George Blagden.

Indeed his appearance there has already ensured Tveit has been our Crush Of The Day a couple of times before (here and here). Now he gets another turn thanks to the fact he’s looking incredibly hot in a new shoot for Bello magazine, thanks to the fact he’s gained a whole new legion of fans due to his role in Graceland.

As well a Les Miserables, Tveit played Trip van der Bilt in Gossip Girl and he was also James Franco’s lover, Peter Orlovsky, in Howl. Tveit’s done plenty of work on the stage too, originating the roles of Gabe in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal and Frank Abagnale Jr. in the musical version of Catch Me If You Can.

And just because he rudely stays fully clothed for his Bello shoot, we’ve added a cute shirtless shot from Graceland for you.

The full editorial + interview with Aaron is available on www.bellomag.com and iTunes Newsstand.

Crush Of The Day: Les Miserables’ Aaron Tveit For Mr Porter

June 13, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

aaron-tveit-mr-porter6-slideIn amongst the big star names of Les Miserables, there was one lesser-known talent who turned a lot of heads – Broadway star Aaron Tveit, who played the student revolutionary Enjolas.

Fans of Gossip Girl may have recognised him from his recurring role on that show, and he’s been introduced to an even wider audience recently with the TV series Graceland, which has Tveit in one of the main roles.

Recently he also went in front of the lens of photographer Billy Kidd for the fashion retail site Mr. Porter, which has resulted in some great shots of the very hot actor. There’s also a bit of an interview if you want to read more about him on the Mr Porter site.

Les Miserables Gets Gossip Girl’s Aaron Tveit

January 18, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

After years in development, a film of the Les Miserables musical is about to go into production, with King’s Speech helmer Tom Hooper at the helm. The cast has been growing, with Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe as Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert, and Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne also along for the ride.

Now a the movie has added a revolutionary in the rather cute form of Gossip Girl’s Aaron Tveit has boarded the cast, according to THR. He’s set to play Enjolras, a character who leads the student revolution. While best known for Gossip Girl, Tveit does have some Broadway experience, so hopefully his voice will be up to scratcj.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter are also rumored to be in talks for the film, although their involvement hasn’t been confirmed. It’s turning into a great cast, and hopefully Hooper’s the man who can do the musical justice. It’s due in cinemas at the end of this year.
