Bad Johnson Trailer – Cam Gigandet’s man bits take human form!

Yes we featured the poster for Bad Johnson, where we got a little excited because Cam Gigandet had a man in his pants. Now it’s time for the trailer, which suggests Bad Johnson might be a fun if rather odd movie.

The film sees Cam as a womanising guy who wishes his penis away after his incessant cheating costs him another girlfriend. However his dick ends up taking on human form (of Thune), which as you can probably guess, cause all sorts of problems.

The poster and trailer has now arrived which you can see above and below. The film is out in the US on VoD on April 1st and in cinemas May 2nd. It’s not clear when it will arrive in the UK. [Read more…]

New Plush Trailer – Cam Gigandet & Xavier Samuel get psychological

Catherine Hardwicke stepped away from directing any of the sequels to Twilight, and now she’s taking taking things into psychological thriller territory with Plush. She’s also taken Twilight Saga stars Cam Gigandet and Xavier Samuel along for the ride.

The film stars Emily Browning as Hayley, lead singer of the rock band Plush. She is married to Carter (Cam Gigandet), with whom she has twins. However, tragedy strikes when her bandmate and brother, Jack (Thomas Dekker), dies of an overdose. His replacement, Enzo (Xavier Samuel), ends up being a great songwriting partner for Hayley. The duo soon take things further and begin sleeping with one another, but Enzo goes way over the line and becomes obsessed with Hayley, hiding some deep dark secrets that may have something to do with her brother.

Thomas Dekker and Frances Fisher also star in the movie, which is out in the US this week (but there’s no UK date as yet). [Read more…]

Crush Of The Day: Cam Gigandet

There’s one very good thing about Cam Gigandet – he seems to be allergic to fabric, so there is no lack of images of him shirtless, showing of his defined physique and rippling six-pack. I may not be 100% convinced by his acting yet, but he certainly looks good on screen.

The 30-year-old made his debut in a 2003 episode of CSI, and followed that with extended runs on Jack & Bobby and The OC. However he came to many people’s attention with the 2008 double-punch of the fighting drama Never Back Down and Twilight (in which he played evil vampire James). This led to roles in the likes of Pandorum, Burlesque, Easy A, Priest and Trespass.

He’s back in UK cinemas on Friday (and on DVD on December 24th) with Code Name:Geronimo, director John Stockwell’s take on the Navy SEAL’s hunt for Osama Bin Laden – indeed in the US the film is known simply as Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden.

Cam Gigandet & Nick Thune Will Be A Couple Of Dicks In Johnson

There aren’t enough movies where a guy’s penis takes human form and runs away, but thankfully director Huck Botko is out to remedy that, and Variety reports he signed Cam Gigandet and Nick Thune to star in the flick.

Jeff Tetreault has come up with the script, which is about Rich Johnson (Gigandet), a rich, goo-looking man who is a selfish womaniser. However he’s forced to re-evaluate his life and become a better person after his actions cause him to lose his manhood, literally. Yup, his dick magically becomes a person (Nick Thune) and goes off on its own.

It’s certainly an odd set-up, but it could be a spring for a funny comedy. Shooting will begin October 10th in Chicago.

Cam Gigandet Goes Psychological In Catherine Hardwicke’s Plush

Catherine Hardwicke must have liked working with Cam Gigandet on Twilight, as Variety reports she’s just cast the actor in her new psychological thriller, Plush, which already has Emily Browning on board to star.

Gigandet will play a psychologist who can literally see the inner memories of his patients. He delves deep inside the minds of his patients to help them deal with their own demons. The story intensifies when he meets a young woman (Emily Browning) who has the same gift that he does.

Gigandet will make the buffest psychologist we’ve ever seen! Catherine Hardwicke (Red Riding Hood) is producing and directing from a screenplay she co-wrote with Artie Nelson.

Gam Gigandet Gets A Free Ride

I can never decide if Cam Gigandet is a very handsome man or just a bit weird looking, which may be one of the reasons his career seems to be destined to be in supporting roles. He’s popped up in the likes Never Back Down, Twilight, Easy A and Priest, but each time in an ‘always the bridesmaid’ type role.

He’s continuing that with Free Ride, as Variety says he’s just signed on for the indie drama, which will see him play Anna Paquin’s romantic interest in the story of a young mother who escapes her abusive life and heads to Florida to start over. The film is based on a true story, with Paquin’s character exploring her new life amid the vibrant culture of the Sunshine State in the 70s, including the possibilities of dating Gigandet.

Whan Sosin will write and direct, with shooting set to begin on October 24th
