Stephen Amell, Colton Haynes & David Ramsey Get Shirtless Arrow – Season 2 Posters

September 16, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Even before it started airing the makers of Arrow were well aware they shouldn’t just market it to nerds, but if they showed of Stephen Amell’s ridiculously buff bod, a lot of women and gay men would also be drawn in.

That’s continuing with Season 2, and this time Amell’s got some hunky company, as not only does he have a new shirtless poster, but so do David Ramsey, Manu Bennett and Colton Haynes – and they are all looking good!

Amell is of course the titular vigilante, Arrow, aka the filthy rick Oliver Queen, with Ramsey plays his loyal right-hand man, John Diggle. Colton Haynes is a relatively new member of the cast as the troubled Roy Harper (who in the comics ends up teaming with Arrow, but we’re yet to see if that happens in the show). Manu Bennett is Slade Wilson, who knew Oliver when he was stranded on a very dangerous island.

Season 2 starts airing in the US Wednesday, October 9th and should arrive in the UK around the same time. Click on the pics below for larger versions. (Pics via TVLine, E!, and ET) [Read more…]

John Barrowman Admits He’d ‘Love To Make Out’ With Arrow Co-star Stephen Amell

December 12, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

john-barrowman-arrowJohn Barrowman has been popping up every so often on the new superhero TV series Arrow, as a mysterious man who seems to be plotting nefarious things, and is somehow bound up in a conspiracy that resulted in Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) getting trapped on an island for five years.

However, while Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn has seemed to be a bad guy, in a new interview with TV Guide, the gay actor and singer describes his character as a “troubled hero”, who’s actually trying to clean up the city, but his methods clash with those of spoiled heir turned archery-obsessed superhero Queen (aka title character Arrow).

Barrowman was then asked whether Malcom would be getting any ‘sexy time’ with show’s title character. “I don’t think we ever will!” he says. “Although I would love to make out with Stephen Amell, I don’t think these two are gonna bed down. I always ask him if I can play some xylophone on his abs (Laughs).”

The actor was also asked about the fact he ‘doesn’t hold back’ (which we presume is a euphemism for that fact he never hides the fact he’s gay), Barrowman says “I am what I am, and I don’t hide it. If anybody asked me to change, I would tell them to f**k off.”

If you haven’t seen Arrow and wonder whether Barrowman is right to want to kiss Stephen Amell, just look at the pic below (or indeed our hot gallery of the actor) and tell us you wouldn’t snog him too if you had the chance.

Crush Of The Day: Stephen Amell

September 21, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

I have to say that I wasn’t that interested in the TV show Arrow, and then I saw the poster above, and suddenly my interest was piqued. Who knows why?

Stephen Amell is quite the hottie, and he’s also not averse to playing guy. Indeed his first screen role was playing a spinning instructor in the US version of Queer As Folk. He also popped up as Adam in a couple of episodes of the uber-gay vampire series, Dante’s Cover.

Since then he’s appeared in the likes of Rent-A-Goalie, CSI: Miami, NCIS: Los Angeles, Vampire Diaries, 90210 and New Girl, although he’s probably most recognisable from his recurring roles as Jason in Hung, Scott Becker in Private Practice and Nick in Heartland.

Now he’s got the title role in Arrow, playing Oliver Queen (who despite the name isn’t gay), aka the comic book her, Green Arrow. Whether the series will succeed is yet to be seen, but Amell is certainly a very sexy presence at its heart. The show starts in both the US and the UK in October.

But if you need to see a bit more of Stephen before then – including a few revealing shots of him in Hung – click below and get larger versions of the pics in our gallery. [Read more…]
