New Riddick Trailer – Vin Diesel gets hunted on a desolate planet

August 4, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

A fresh trailer for Riddick which makes the movie look. pretty cool, Vin Diesel and director David Twohy have pulled back on the OTT sci-fi operatics of The Chronicles Of Riddick, going back towards the feeling of the original Pitch Black, although with better special effects.

Here’s the plot synopsis: ‘In the film, the infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

‘The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.’

It should hit cinemas this autumn. [Read more…]

Riddick Extended Red Band Trailer – Vin Diesel isn’t shying away from the violence

July 20, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Vin Diesel and director David Twohy have never given up on Riddick, despite the fact the big budget Chronicles Of Riddick failed at the box office. Now they’re back with a film that’s promised to be closer to the tone of Pitch Black. At the film’s Comic-Con panel, an extended red band trailer was revealed, which has now popped up online.

Vin Diesel Is A Fugitive Once More In A New Riddick Poster

July 2, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

riddick-poster1Ahead of Riddick’s panel at Comic Con in a couple of weeks time, a new poster for Riddick has dropped, with Vin Diesel perched on a rock, presumably being all badass (after all, what else would Diesel be doing?).

Riddick International Trailer – Vin Diesel’s eyes shine once more

June 18, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Riddick is due to hit cinemas latest this year, and now we’ve got a new look at it, courtesy of an international trailer. It all looks pretty moody and thankfully not as grandiose and portentous as The Chronicles Of Riddick.

Here’s the plot synopsis: ‘In the film, the infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. Vin Diesel Unveils Riddick Comic-Con Poster

June 17, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

riddick-comic-con-poster
Comic-Con is due to kick off pretty soon, with upcoming films, game and comics fighting to attention in the mad San Diego scrum. One that’s hoping for a bit of love is Riddick. To get us prepared, Vin Diesel has released a Comic-Con poster for the movie.

He also posted the message, ‘It’s been over decade, since I’ve been to Comic-Con… Grrr… The Furyan… P.s. First look at the 2013 Comic-Con, Riddick poster.’

It’s a moody image, but to be honest, it reminds us a bit too much of Hellboy.

The movie is due out this autumn.

Riddick Trailer – Vin Diesel is back in sci-fi fantasy land

May 16, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

A few weeks ago we had a teaser for Riddick (it was a tease too, as it was only 22 seconds), but now the full trailer has been released, which actually looks pretty cool, even if they have pulled back on the OTT sci-fi operatics of The Chronicles Of Riddick.

Vin Diesel Brings Us A Rain-Soaked Riddick Pic

January 22, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

riddick-pic2
After The Chronicles Of Riddick flopped, it seemed unlikely we’d ever see the character again (outside video games). However, while Vin Diesel and director David Twohy have had to ditch the grand-scale space operatics they’d initially envisioned for an entire Riddick trilogy following Chronicles, they are bringing the character back in a movie that’s said to be more in the vein of the film that first introduce us to the character, Pitch Black.

Now the movie has been shot and VIn Diesel has slowly been leaking more info about the movie vis his Facebook page, and now he’s released a brand new image, featuring his title character on a rain-soaked planet.

Here’s the (unconfirmed) synopsis: ‘Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.’

The film hits cinemas this autumn.

Vin Diesel Gets Shirtless On The Riddick Set

May 8, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

If you like yourself a bit of Vin Diesel, then the pic above should make you very happy. The actor released the image himself via Facebook. Riddick is the latest adventure featuring the character Vin played in Pitch Black and The Chronicles Of Riddick, although due to the financial failure of the latter film, it’s going grittier and lower budget.

Diesel commented about the photo, “A still from the Riddick set this year… we are in post and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see it manifest. You all were such a part of it becoming a reality… willed it into being, so to speak…”

Here’s the plot of the new movie, ‘Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.’

The film will hit cinemas sometime in 2013.
