The Hangover Part III Teaser – The Wolfpack returns to Las Vegas

March 8, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The final part of The Hangover trilogy hits cinemas on May 24th, and now we get to take our first look at the movie with a teaser trailer. Although things start out surprisingly dour, with the boys at a funeral, things soon go far more manic, with the Wolfpack back in Las Vegas and causing plenty more mayhem.

That said, there’s not too much info on the actual plot, although we’ve been promised that while there’s no batchelor party or wedding this time around, getting the boys back to Vegas ensures carnage aplenty.

Todd Phillips once more directs, with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham and John Goodman starring.

The Hangover Part III Poster Suggests Vegas Might Not Survive The Wolfpack

March 7, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

If this poster for The Hangover Part III is anything to go by, Las Vegas is going to have trouble surviving the return of the Wolfpack. That said, there’s a decent chance Sin City will be okay, as the poster actually parodies Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Here’s the brief synopsis: ‘The Hangover Part III is the third and final film in director Todd Phillips’ record-shattering comedy franchise. This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.’

We’ve been promised a trailer within the next 24 hours, so look out for that. The film hits cinemas May 24th.

First Hangover Part III Image Pays Tribute To The Beatles

The Hangover trilogy rounds out with Part III on May 24th, 2013, which sees the Wolf Pack returning to Las Vegas for a final blow-out. Now the first image from the movie has been released, which slightly randomly pays tribute to the Beatles and their famous Abbey Road image.

There’s also a second image, which you can see below, where Ken Jeong is back as Mr. Chow, who is seen impersonating a sheriff.

Todd Phillips once more directs, with Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha back to star. It’s safe to safe that their return to Vegas is just as crazy as their previous adventure. (Images via EW)

Hangover Helmer Todd Phillips Says Trust Your Eyes

September 27, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Todd Phillips has built up quite a comedy resume with the likes of The Hangover movies and Due Date, but now he’s hoping to movie out of the comedy world once he’s finished Hangover III. Warner Bros. has acquired Linwood Barclay’s thriller novel Trust Your Eyes for the filmmaker to direct, according to Variety.

The book is about a schizophrenic savant who witnesses a murder in Manhattan. The man manages to convince his brother to investigate the crime, leading the duo to square off with an ex-cop and his brutal henchwoman, who are determined to tie up their loose ends. The story is being described as a cross between Rear Window and Rain Man.

No screenwriter has been attached to adapt the novel yet. This project is the second non-comedy Todd Phillips has become attached to as of late, so he really seems to want to stretch his wings. Last month he signed on to direct a remake of The Gambler for Paramount Pictures.

Melissa McCarthy May Be Up For Hangover Part III

September 20, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Melissa McCarthy’s film career got a huge boost due to Bridesmaids, and while she has to spend much of the year making her (abysmal) sitcom Mike & Molly, Variety reports she’s hoping to slip in a small role in the comedy sequel The Hangover Part III.

A deal hasn’t been finalised yet, as scheduling issues need to be sorted out, although it is believed she will sign on in the near future. No details are known about her character. She’ll have to sort things out quickly though, as shooting on the movie started in Los Angeles and Las Vegas last week.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha are back as The Wolf Pack, with franchise favorites Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, and Heather Graham also returning. Todd Phillips is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Mazin. It’ll be in cinemas next summer.

Hangover Helmer Todd Phillips Going Dramatic With The Gambler

August 21, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Director Todd Phillips, who is set to go into production on The Hangover Part III soon, has lined up his first dramatic project with a Paramount’s remake of The Gambler, taking over from Martin Scorsese, who was previously attached to helm..

The Departed’s William Monahan has written the screenplay, which follows a UCLA literature professor who has a serious gambling addiction and gets in trouble with gangsters. Earlier reports indicated that Leonardo DiCaprio was circling the lead role, but it isn’t known if he is still involved.

Irwin Winkler, who produced the original, is back on board as a producer. It is believed that this could be Todd Phillips’ next project after he wraps on The Hangover Part III, although that has not been confirmed. (Source: THR)

John Goodman Circling The Hangover Part III

August 17, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s rarely a bad thing to cast John Goodman in a movie, as he’s one of the few actors who can run the full gamut from deeply dark drama to full-on comedy. Now he’s in talks for a small but integral role in the upcoming The Hangover Part III, whic is said to be one of the last main roles yet to be cast before production begins later this autumn.

The actor will play an unspecified antagonist, similar to Paul Giamatti’s minor role in The Hangover Part II. Although he’s unlikely to get much screentime, director Todd Phillips has described the role as ‘juicy’, and has been looking for the right person for a while, including considering Sean Penn and Robert Downey Jr.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis are returning as The Wolf Pack, with Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Heather Graham, and Sasha Barrese reprising their roles from the first two installments.

Sasha Barrese Back For The Hangover Part III

August 14, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Sasha Barrese, who starred in The Hangover and The Hangover Part II, has signed on to return for The Hangover Part III. She reprises her role as Tracy, who got married to Justin Bartha’s Doug at the end of The Hangover.

It isn’t clear how she will fit into the story line of this upcoming comedy sequel, largely because there’s been no plot details for the movie released, other than the gang will return to Las Vegas. She will not be the only familiar face returning for the final chapter. Along with The Wolf Pack (Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha), Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Mike Tyson, and Heather Graham are all back.

Todd Phillips is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Mazin. Film is scheduled to begin this fall. (Source: Variety)

Heather Graham Back For Hangover III

August 10, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The Hangover Part III is coming full circle, bringing the franchise back to Las Vegas for the third and (allegedly) final installment. Today, we have word via Variety that Heather Graham will reprise her role as Jade from The Hangover.

The actress didn’t appear in last summer’s The Hangover Part II, which took the action to Thailand. However the return of Graham sets up some potential fireworks, since Stu (Ed Helms) got married to Jade during The Hangover, and the sequel was set around Stu’s wedding with his new fiancée Lauren (Jamie Chung). It isn’t known yet if Jamie Chung will be back as Stu’s current wife.

No specific plot details have been released for this final sequel, except that the Wolf Pack (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis) is going back to Vegas. Mike Epps will also return as Black Doug from the first installment, while franchise regulars Mike Tyson and Ken Jeong are also back. Todd Phillips is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Mazin. Filming is scheduled to begin this autumn.

April 27, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

A few months ago it as revealed that amongst the long list of projects Hangover helmer Todd Phillips was thinking of directing, was an adaptation of Tony D’Souza’s novel, Mule. That’s now moved closer to the screen, as Deadline reports that Warner has hired Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass (Jeff Who Lives at Home, Cyrus) to write the screenplay for Mule.

Tony D’Souza’s novel follows a young couple who hit hard economic times just as one of them becomes pregnant. In need of money, the become marijuana ‘mules’, transporting weed across the country for some fast cash. However what starts out as a single drug run turns into something more, as the couple move up the ranks of narcotics dealing.

While the movie now has a screenwriter, there’s still no news on when it might shoot.
