Go-Go Boy Interrupted: S2, Ep4 – Danny finds out about drag queen dilemmas

April 26, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep4As you’d hope for a web series called Go-Go Boy Interrupted, Jimmy Fowlie’s show is often good at flashing some flesh. For this episode they bring in a master of it with Andrew Christian boy Pablo Hernandez showing off his acting skills – while only wearing some bulge inducing undies of course.

The ep also features Drew Droege, who lets us into some of the problems of drag queens, while being very bitchy. There’s also time for Danny to get a blast from the past when he meets someone he used to go to school with.

It is all slightly random, but it’s a fun episode, so take a look at it below. And if you need to catch up with early episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, you can click here to find them. [Read more…]

April 19, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep3Last week saw the return of Jimmy Fowlie’s fun web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted, which saw Jimmy’s Danny back but struggling, trying to get by being a go-go-boy during lunchtime at a dive bar. By the end he was ready to get his old job back – but didn’t know if they’d want him.

Now it’s time for Episode 3, where Danny comes up against two new go-go boys who are ‘masc’ and nobody is knows what their sexuality if. It’s time then for Danny to show off his masculine side and see if he can pass in that world.

It’s only a short episode, but it is certainly fun, so take a look at it below. And if you need to catch up with early episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, you can click here to find them. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted: Season 2, Episodes 1&2 – Jimmy Fowlie’s ageing gay twink makes more life changes

April 12, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-s2-ep1Jimmy Fowlie’s web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted turned out to be a big success when it debuted in late 2014, so much so that a Kickstarter for Season 2 raised almost $70,000. Not the first two episodes of that season have arrived, which see Danny (played by Fowlie) having made some changes in his life, but it’s two steps forwards two steps back, as the only job he can get is as a lunchtime go-go boy at a low rent dive. He’s no longer the cute early-20s twink who could get paid to dance at top clubs.

It’s time to try and make something of himself.

Fowlie has suggested to Queerty Season 2 was more difficult that the show’s outing, saying, “There wasn’t as much pressure the first season, since we didn’t know if anyone would watch. Plus the crew was so janky! There was a camera guy, and a sound guy.

“Season 2 there were PA’s, and a hair and make up person, a production designer, an AC (whatever the FUCK that is), a script supervisor. And on the first day I was so overwhelmed. People would be like, ‘What do you think of this outfit? What do you think of this napkin?’ and I was like ‘ahh..I don’t know.’”

Once more it’s funny and a little sexy, and there’s also space for some good cameos, including Scott Evans (Chris’ gay brother), Heather Morris, the wonderful Willam Belli, and  Brian Jordan Alvarez. Take a look below, and click here to catch up with season 1. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted Season 2 Trailer – Jimmy Fowlie’s aging gay twink Danny is coming back

March 15, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-season-2Back in the autumn of 2014, comedian Jimmy Fowlie introduced us to his alter-ego Danny in the gay-themed web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted. The show was loosely based on Jimmy’s own life, following go-go dancer Danny who’s having difficulty adjusting to the fact that with his 30s approaching he’s getting a bit old to party every night and get paid to gyrate in clubs.

After losing his job, he has to take stock and decide where to go with his life next.

Now, following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Go-Go Boy Interrupted is coming back with Season 2, and to get us excited, a trailer has landed, which you can watch below. It’s promised that as well as more Jimmy, the show’s second outing also features the likes of Glee’s Heather Morris, Drew Droege, Willam Belli, Pablo Hernandez, and Brian Jordan Alvarez.

If you need to catch up with Season 1, click here. It’s promised that new episodes of Go-Go Boy Interrupted will drop each Tuesday from April 12th. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted Gets Some Bloopers

November 26, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-bloopersIf you haven’t haven’t been following the fun web series Go-Go-Boy Interrupted, which just finished its freshman run, you’ve been missing out. If you need to, you can catch up here, and if you need more evidence as to why you ought to, the show’s creator Jimmy Fowlie has released an entertaining blooper reel that you can watch below.

Go-Go Boy Interrupted follows Jimmy’s alter-ego Danny, a go-go boy who has to face some major life changes after he hits 30, gets fired and comes to realise that maybe life isn’t all about partying and one-night stands (not that those don’t have a place in life, of course).

However as the bloopers show, it didn’t always go 100% smoothly while filming the seven part season, but it does look like they had fun. (And it also makes you realise quite how shirtless Jimmy Fowlie was during the show – not that I’m complaining). [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted Eps. 4-7 – After facing down the new twinks, Danny tries to find a new direction

November 22, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-4-7If you haven’t been watching creator/star Jimmy Fowlie’s fun gay-themed web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted, it’s time to catch up. In Episode 1 he got fired from his go-go boy job after partying too hard and not being as young as he once was, then in Episodes 2 & 3 he starts to discover that life after dancing in a nightclub isn’t always going to be easy.

However while he’s no longer a go-go boy (although he does attempt to return) he’s still been living the lifestyle, but in Episodes 4 through 7 he finds his life in a bit of a downward spiral and he’s in need of a new life and a new direction. Perhaps it’s time for a bit of an epiphany… kind of.

Who thought hitting 30 would be so tough? (Although as many slightly older guys who’ve been to a gay bar have discovered, it is when you’re given your Harry Potter-style invisibility cloak, whether you want it or not).

Catch up with the first three episodes and then watch eps. 4 through 7 below! And let’s hope there’s more Go-Go Boy Interrupted soon, although as it’s based on Jimmy Fowlie’s life, perhaps he’s got more living to do first. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted Eps. 2 & 3 – Danny deals with life outside the gay nightclubs

October 22, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-episode-2A few weeks ago we posted the first episode of the fun new web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted, and now we’ve got the next two installments, which follow the adventures of Danny, a 29-year-old go-go boy who suddenly finds himself fired from his job and having to make his way in the world. However gyrating for randy gay club-goers doesn’t necessarily offer a lot of transferable skills.

In Episode 2 Danny is still up to his go-go boy tricks of blacking out and isn’t 100% sure who the man he wakes up in bed with is. That’s followed by ‘It’s Not Confidential’, where his exercise session is interrupted by people letting him know that’s he’s being talked about and not in a nice way.

Jimmy Fowlie’s series is a lot of fun, based on his own life where he danced while pursuing an acting degree. Go-Go Boy Interrupted then became a live sketch show at an LA theater and has now made the transition to Youtube.

If you need to catch up, you can watch episode 1 here, and then view eps. 2 and 3 below. [Read more…]

Go-Go Boy Interrupted Episode 1 – Getting off the dancefloor in the new gay-themed comedy web series

October 7, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

go-go-boy-interrupted-ep1-slideHere’s one to make anyone over 30 feel pretty prehistoric, although the set-up suggests that as the new web series Go-Go Boy Interrupted continues, gay culture’s youth and hot body obsession may come under the spotlight.

The show follows 29-year-old Danny, whose been a go-go boy for years, living a life of casual drug use and drunken blackouts. However 29 is old for dancing on the stage in a twink-focussed club and after he throws up while on the job, he may have to look for a new career.

The film is loosely based on creator/star Jim Fowlie’s own life. He says on the show’s website, “The concept for Go-Go Boy Interrupted was born from my time as a go-go dancer while I pursued my BFA in Acting from USC (both experiences were major letdowns in terms of “real world skills”). But I was fascinated with the Go-Go scene: the larger than life drag queens to the out of control 19-year-old party boys, there was so much comedy potential.”

The series started as a live sketch show at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, and is now making it online – and keep an eye out for Drew Droege as a great drag queen. The first episode is now available watch it below), with a new ep. due out each Tuesday. [Read more…]
