Crush Of The Day: Trevor Donovan Gets Down To His Underwear

April 8, 2015 By Tim Isaac 2 Comments

trevor-donovan-glamoholic-03-slideI never watched 90210 on TV, but after seeing these pictures of Trevor Donovan, I’m thinking that was a very, very bad idea as he is stunningly hot. Of course it doesn’t hurt that he’s not afraid to whip off his shirt and show off his pecs, or indeed put on some tight undies to get our minds boggling about what he’s got going on downstairs.

As well as 90210, Donovan has been seen in the likes of Surrogates and Savages, and is set to star in the mini-series Texas Rising later this year.

However it seems he’s still got some time for some modelling work (and I’m very glad he does), in this case for Glamoholic (via Homotrophy). We might be a little late to the party with this one, but it’s certainly a case of better late than never.

Take a look at the pics below and prepare to be blinded by the prettiness. [Read more…]

James Van Der Beek & Anna Camp Only Want Straight People To Buy From Their Shopping Channel

April 3, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

indiana-shopping-channel-james-van-der-beekIndiana Republicans probably didn’t know what hit them this week. Just a few years ago enacting hideously anti-gay legislation was a win-win for the political party, as it would please their bigoted supporters while liberals would just tut and grumble and not do anything about it.

However after the Governor of Indiana signed a ‘Religious Freedom Act’ – which was actually a fairly thinly disguised attempt to ensure anyone can discriminate against gays as long as they claim it was because of their religion – they faced a massive backlash, not just from those you’d usually expect to decry such a law, but also a raft of major businesses (including Walmart, who until recently didn’t have much of an LGBT rights record), and even other states, who banned their employees from travelling to Indiana on non-essential business.

Now James Van Der Beek and Anna Camp have gotten in on the act with a great Funny Or Die video that does a great job of showing what is so odious about these laws. After all, those behind them always say  laws like this are just about allowing small business owners to follow their religious convictions, but they’re is actually about bigotry and can have massive repurcussions, especially if larger businesses decide to fire gay people or not serve them.

In the vid Anna and James are hosts of the Indiana Shopping Channel, and they certainly don’t want the gays buying their goods. As James puts it, if gays can get tot buy things from them, “What’s next – I’ll leave my wife Cindy and then go shack up with Don in a post-modern house in Palm Springs?”.

Takea look at the video below. [Read more…]

Apropos Of Nothing: Model Theo Ford Looks Hot & Hairy In PetitQ Underwear

March 27, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

petitq-theo-ford-s_06-slideNormally everything I post on BGPS I try to link to something film-related, but just occassionally I see something that’s so hot I feel the need to share it with the world even if it has absolutely nothing to do with movies.

And that’s just how I felt when these pictures model Theo Ford wearing PetitQ underwear came across my screen. Ford is apparently a ‘french fresh adult entertainer’ (which I assume means porn star, and a Google image search seems to confirm that), who was photographed here in an NYC apartment by Wes Triplett.

Compared to a lot of PetitQ underwear, these undies are a bit coy (the brand believes in using advanced physics (not really) to see how little fabric you can use and still call it underwear – which often involves not covering the bits that you’d think were the absolute key point of unidies), but the man in them certainly ensures they’re extremely hot.

Take a look at the pics below and click on them for larger versions. [Read more…]

Sebastian Stan Says He ‘Brought Everything I Had’ To An ‘Enthusiastic’ New Sex Scene

March 23, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

sebastian-stanThere is little doubt that Sebastian Stan is hot, and that’s whether it’s when his gay character is hooking up in Political Animals, or as the hunky Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the Captain America movies. But how do you fancy seeing him in a sex scene that caused Vulture to comment, “Is it possible to cartwheel flip oneself into a woman’s vagina?”.

That much talked about scene is in the movie The Bronze, where Stan plays a gymnast who is now an Olympic recruiter, who uses his flexibility for a rather extraordinary sexual encounter.

He was bound to be asked about it, and it’s Vulture (via NewNowNext) who have done the job, catching up with him on the opening night of the Broadway play The Heidi Chronicles.

It seems he certainly had no qualms about shooting the scene, saying, “I was a maybe too enthusiastic about it, but I certainly, uh, brought everything I had.”

He adds, “I really enjoyed the people I was working with, and when they explained to me what the scene was about, it was so funny. I just thought, ‘You know what, you’ve just got to jump in the water sometimes, right?’ You’ve just got to take your clothes off and go for it.”

And we’re very glad he did.

If you need to know why Sebastian should always wear as few clothes as possible, take a look at this post. [Read more…]

A Great Short Doc Looks At The How The Ideal Of Male Beauty Varies Around The World

March 19, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

ideal-of-male-beautyWhen us westerners look at the media, we could be forgiven for thinking the ideas about male beauty are the same in every corner of the world. However just because we don’t see it, doesn’t mean that every culture values and espouses exactly the same things.

Buzzfeed has come up with a great short doc which looks at ideas of male beauty in 12 different countries from South Korea to Nigeria. It uses a variety of facts and figures to find out what those different countries like, from the popularity of tattoos in Britain to a move towards romantic leading men in Turkey.

However despite the differences it has to be said that if the prettiness on display is anything to go by, there are still plenty of similarities in what people think are hot, as these studs would be considered good looking in whatever country they happened to be. In fact I was waiting for the country that liked fat, balding guys who are in their 50s, but strangely enough it never arrived.

You can take a look at the interesting and, err, visually pleasing film below. [Read more…]

Russell Tovey Says He Only Touches Straight Men’s Balls If a Script Tells Him To (Sort Of)

March 19, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

russell-toveyGood old Russell Tovey, he’s got a good moral code where he doesn’t believe in touching straight men’s balls unless a script tells him he should. Not really, or at least we presume he had his tongue somewhat in his cheek in a recent chat with Heat magazine.

He says of doing sex scenes with another guy, “It’s easier doing those scenes with another gay man than it is a straight man, the same way I feel fine doing sex scenes with a woman.

“When I’m doing a sex scene with an actor who is straight, I feel a huge sense of responsibility not to feel like I’m taking advantage or anything. Like, I’ll only touch their balls if it says so in the script.”

He’s also well aware that in the modern age, if you’re going to take your shirt off or get nude on screen, there are plenty of people out there who will screenshot it, post it online and analyse every frame, and understandably Russell wants to ensure that he looks as good as he can.

He says of preparing for his sexy scenes in Looking, “I keep the bush low, trim the chest hair and I like to get the nipples more erect, so I’ll tweak them a bit too. Erect nipples add so much to a scene I think.

“I do worry about how I’m going to look in screen-grabs and GIFS. You know it’s going to happen.”

He’s certainly got a decent sense of humour even if he leaves you wondering how serious he might be being.

You can check out a fun vid taken during his Heat photoshoot below. [Read more…]

Charlie Hunnam Let’s Us Know He’s Got ‘Nothing To Hide’ About Going Full Frontal

March 16, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

charlie-hunnam-slideOk, so here’s the challenge – we need to write a film where it’s very, very important we get to see Charlie Hunnam’s penis. It appears he’d be up for it, or at least the Pacific Rim & Sons Of Anarchy suggests so in a new interview with Attitude.

Talking about whether he’d ever show off little Charlie, he says, “The level of nudity that I do now, which is taking my shirt off, doesn’t bother me at all. But I have done full frontal before. I did full frontal when I was 18 on the TV show Queer as Folk.”

However before you rush off to see whether there was more of Charlie in 1999 British TV show than you remember, he adds, “But because I was playing a 15-year-old character, the censorship people wouldn’t allow us to put it on TV,” he added. “I think when I was young, I was a little bit more fearless with that stuff. I don’t know. I’m sure I would; I have nothing to hide.”

We almost got to see a lot of Hunnam when he was cast to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Of Grey, before hectic scheduling forced him to pull out. Perhaps if he’s done the role he wouldn’t have insisted on the ‘no penis’ clause Jamie Dornan had in his contract (although considering the need for an ‘R’ rating there’s no guarantee).

So if anyone wants to write a script all about Charlie’s bits, send it to him and see what he thinks!

Crush Of The Day: Mark Paul Gosselaar Gets Naked With A Friend

March 9, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

mark-paul-grosselar-crossfitQuick, someone shout ‘no homo’! In the last few days Paul Paul Gosselaar has been proving that while he left Zach Morris behind a long time ago he’s still keeping fit and looking buff with the odd but pretty hot pic below.

He  tweeted the image along with the message ‘Teaming up with @Piketoon for the @CACrossFit #pairpower competition. @CrossFit. Some would say we’ve already won.’

Gosselaar and Ben Ceccarelli actually look like they’re preparing for something other than fitness, although it would be something that would make them sweat.

Whatever the hell is going on, the 41-year-old Franklin & Bash is certainly looking good. Oh, and if he wants to release a version without black bars, we’d certainly be pleased to take a look (and we have to say, we think the length of those bars is unbelievably boastful). [Read more…]

Queer As Film at National Student Pride Offered A Great Evening Of Gay Short Film Entertainment

March 9, 2015 By Scott Elliott 1 Comment

queer-as-film-student-prideIrreverent LGBT film mini-festival Queer As Film made its long-awaited return last weekend, in partnership with National Student Pride, with a special showing and party at the Departure Lounge in London’s Heaven nightclub.

Tickets sold out well in advance but the room felt neither cramped nor overcrowded, with a full bar open between films. As usual, resident Queer As Film compere Tom Allen tickled the audience’s collective funnybone with wry observations and witty comments between each short film, and chaired the Q&A sessions with each of the filmmakers, offering prizes of DVDs (“From the cover, I’d say it’s the story to two boys who couldn’t afford shirts”) to the audience as rewards for the best questions. Effortlessly riffing off of elements in each of the shorts as we watched them, it’s obvious that Allen’s talents with witty one-liners is one of the things that helps Queer As Film set itself apart from the more serious and stuffy film festivals.

Another, of course, is the films it shows. And as always, Queer As Film delivered on that front, too.

First up was A Little Bit Country, directed by Amy Coop, starting the night off with a fun, light-hearted twist on the traditional coming out story, swapping out being gay for something far more shameful: Being a Country Music fan.

As a contrast the second short, Brink by David Hastings, tells a short, sharp story of a homophobic attack that is brutally and graphic in equal measure.

Cupcakes, by students from Sawston Village College, lifted spirits once again, with a joyful and touching exploration of different sexualities and baked goods. Written, directed and starring a group of teenage college students, the raw talent shown in this short was for me the highlight of an already high calibre evening.

Translucent was the only documentary addition to the event’s lineup, telling the story of Director Emily Steele’s sister Diana coming out as Transgender. Sweet without being cloying, a family discussion about love, change and intimacy is interspersed with home videos to create a poignant, touching and incredibly intimate portrait.

Denis Thierault’s I Am Syd Stone added some international flavour to the evening, telling the story of a Hollywood star returning to his small-town home with the intention of rekindling a clandestine relationship with his former lover. An accomplished, tense and slightly sexy exploration of public persona versus personality in celebrity culture as well as everyday life, it’s not difficult to see why this short was included on Pecadillo Pictures’ Boys On Film anthology.

Rounding off the selection for the evening was OUT, by Gus Lopez, another coming out story with a twist – this time a flamboyant mother struggles to come to terms with her son’s sexuality and the affect it might have on her life in a small country village. Heartwarming, hilarious and wonderfully silly.

As a long-time fan of the series, this collaboration with National Student Pride was a welcome return to form for the Queer As Film team, and hopefully means they will once more be making regular appearances on London’s indie film scene. In the meantime, their regular podcast, Gobbing Off, is available to download from iTunes.

Marty McFly Worries The 1950s Will Turn Him Gay In Back To The Future Deleted Scene

March 4, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

back-to-the-futureA deleted scene from Back To The Future has been doing the blogging rounds for the past few days, and while some have suggested it’s newly discovered, it’s actually been around for a while (it first appeared on the DVD release), but it is interesting.

In it Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) worries that having to date his mom back in the 1950s is going to be enough to turn him off women for life.

He says, “I can’t believe I’m going to feel up my own mother. This is the kind of thing that could screw me up permanently. What if I go back to the future and I end up being… gay?”

Doc Brown then responds, “Why shouldn’t you be happy?”

It is a rather old-fashioned attitude to homosexuality, but the reason it was cut wasn’t to do with the idea people can be turned gay, or indeed Doc’s joke about not understanding what that word has come to mean by the 1980s.

Nope, it was due to the fact that as the makers cut the film together, they realised that Marty’s mother having an infatuation with him, and him then going on a date with her where he intends to be, err, ungentlemanly, was actually a bit screwed up for a family film. Therefore things that highlight what an Oedipally disturbing situation it is were toned down, and this is one of those things.

However, some have suggested it’s homophobic. Take a look below and see what you think. [Read more…]
