Recent reports have suggested that Duncan Jones wants to start shooting his planned adaptation of World Of Warcraft in January, so he doesn’t have too long to fill out the cast. Now Deadline reports that actress Paula Patton has entered negotiations for a lead role in Legendary Entertainment’s film, with an offer also going out to Colin Farrell for another starring role.
Farrell apparently isn’t sure whether or not he will accept the offer, with sources claiming there is a 50/50 chance he will star. It’s not known who either actor will play.
The World of Warcraft video game debuted on PC formats in 1994, where players from around the world take part in the epic conflict between the Horde and the Alliance. Charles Leavitt (Seventh Son) wrote the screenplay, although there’s been no news about the plot of the movie version,
Sam Raimi (who was previously set to direct) will produce alongside Charles Roven and Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni.
