Alan Taylor has gone from directing episodes of Game Of Thrones to taking on the might of Marvel as helmer of the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. Now he’s heading right back into genre territory as Variety reports he’s set to helm the firth Terminator movie.
There are still no plot details, although a June 26th, 2015 release date has been set and Laeta Kalorgridis and Patrick Lussier are writing the script. Arnold Schwarzenegger has said numerous time he’s going to be in the movie, although that’s never actually been confirmed by Paramount, which has partnered up to make the film.
It certainly bodes well for Thor: The Dark World, as presumably Taylor wouldn’t have been hired for such an important gig if Paramount hadn’t seen good things from his Marvel movie.
