Seth MacFarlane has been busy making his second directorial outing, A Million Ways To Die In The West, but he hasn’t forgotten about the sequel to his first, as Deadline reports that Amanda Seyfried has joined Ted 2 as the new female lead.
If you’re wondering what’s happened to Mila Kunis, who played the girlfriend of Mark Wahlberg’s John Bennett in the first film, she is likely to film a small part for the new film, however it is likely to be so minor that it could end up being cut from the film. Kunis being given a smaller role is apparently purely for creative reasons and not due to a rift between Seth MacFarlane and the actress (after all, she still voices Meg on his show, Family Guy).
Seth MacFarlane is directing from a script he co-wrote with Ted collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. A release date of June 26th, 2015, with filming expecting to start this summer. Seyfried will also be seen in MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, which is out this May.
