Saturday Night Live has a long history of forming great personal and professional relationships, and indeed if you look back at Tina Fey’s post SNL career, you can see how many of her former colleagues have been involved in her success.
That’s not changing with The Nest, which already has Fey and fellow SNL alum Amy Poehler, and has now added another in the form of May Rudolph, according to THR.
Even the script comes from a former Saturday Night Live writer, Paula Pell. It’s about two sisters (Fey and Poehler) who decide to throw one last massive party in their childhood home before it is sold. It turns out to be a cathartic experience for the siblings and their friends.
Rudolph will be childhood friend of the sisters, while James Brolin signed on earlier this week to play Fey and Poehler’s father.
Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is directing, with a late 2015 release date set.
