Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com New Year’s Eve may not have matched the surprise success of Valentine’s Day, but he’s visiting the concept again with Mother’s Day, according to Deadline.
The director is now living up the cast, with Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis all in talks to star.
Katherine Fugate wrote the first two movies, but this new instalment replaces her with Anya Kochoff-Romano and Lily Hollander.
Assuming it all comes together it will mark the fourth collaboration between Marshall and Julia Roberts, following Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride and Valentine’s Day. The movie should start shooting in August.
