Will Smith is the new Hugh Jackman, or at least he is in Collateral Beauty, as Deadline reports that Smith is in talks to replace the Aussie star, who dropped out of the lead role a few weeks ago.
Johnny Depp was previously rumoured to be in the frame, but it’s now gone to Will.
Rooney Mara and Jason Segel are still attached to the movie, which is, ‘about a New York advertising executive (Jackman) who experiences a deep personal tragedy. When his colleagues devise an unconventional plan to break him out of his depression, the plan works, but not in a way that anyone imagined’.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will helm the movie, which should shoot later this year.
