BD Wong is one of those actors who’s popped up in all manner of things, while never being the main attraction himself. As a result he’s very recognisable even if you don’t know his name. His resume includes over 200 episodes of Law & Order: SVU, as well as the likes of Gotham, Mr. Robot and Oz. Notably he’s also the only actor to appear (as the same character) in both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, as geneticist and ‘creator’ of the dinos, Dr. Henry Wu.
Now he can add ‘husband’ to his illustrious resume, as the actor married his longtime partner, Richert John Frederickson Schnorr, in a ceremony in New York last Sunday. Schnorr posted a pic of their first kiss (see below), along with the words, ‘It really kinda is the happiest day of your life. Thanks to my family and friends for the love and words and support and dance moves. Thanks to @msanamatronic for the grooves. Thanks to @kealasettle for the pipes. Thanks to @liachangphotography for the 📸 Thanks to @wongbd for loving me #schwong’
And yes, that does mean they has Scissor Sister’s Ana Matronic DJ-ing the wedding, as well as The Greatest Showman’s Keala Settle singing (although no word on whether she sang This Is Me). Sounds like it was quite the shindig!
The couple met back in 2010 at a singles mixer night, which if nothing else goes to show that even if you’re a famous actor, you’ve still got to put yourself out there to find love! 35-year-old Scnorr works as the director of digital media for the New York Public Library.
Massive congratulations to them both. [Read more…]
