Bradley Cooper Joins Bad Blood and Trouble

August 17, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Before he returns to the wolf pack this Autumn to make The Hangover Part III, Bradley Cooper is making sure his future is all planned out with a few projects set for after that sequel has wrapped. Variety reports that he is currently in talks to star in Bad Blood and Trouble for director J Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed) and he is also considering an offer to join the cast of Clint Eastwood’s long-delayed A Star Is Born remake.

Bad Blood and Trouble is set in the 1950s and centres on a Miami private detective (Bradley Cooper) who is in love with a married woman. Complications arise when her husband is targeted by a criminal group. Production will begin in the second half of 2013 in London.

It isn’t known what role he is considering in A Star Is Born, which already has Beyoncé Knowles attached to star. He would seems a bit young for the main part of an aging star whose career is slipping away from him and drowns himself in alcohol, but it’s possible that’s who he’ll play.

Neither of these projects will come for a whiel though, as after The Hangover Part III, the actor will start production on American Bullshit for director David O. Russell. There may be enough of a window between that project and Bad Blood and Trouble to squeeze in A Star Is Born.

Heather Graham Back For Hangover III

August 10, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The Hangover Part III is coming full circle, bringing the franchise back to Las Vegas for the third and (allegedly) final installment. Today, we have word via Variety that Heather Graham will reprise her role as Jade from The Hangover.

The actress didn’t appear in last summer’s The Hangover Part II, which took the action to Thailand. However the return of Graham sets up some potential fireworks, since Stu (Ed Helms) got married to Jade during The Hangover, and the sequel was set around Stu’s wedding with his new fiancée Lauren (Jamie Chung). It isn’t known yet if Jamie Chung will be back as Stu’s current wife.

No specific plot details have been released for this final sequel, except that the Wolf Pack (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis) is going back to Vegas. Mike Epps will also return as Black Doug from the first installment, while franchise regulars Mike Tyson and Ken Jeong are also back. Todd Phillips is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Mazin. Filming is scheduled to begin this autumn.

New The Words Trailer – Bradley Cooper becomes a plagiarist

August 1, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The Words premiered at Sundance, but it’s only due to hit US cinemas on September 7th, and no UK release has been officially set yet. Now a new trailer has arrived, to whet our appetites. The romantic drama follows writer Rory Jansen who finally achieves long sought after literary success after publishing the next great American novel. There’s only one catch – he didn’t write it. As the past comes back to haunt him and his literary star continues to rise, Jansen is forced to confront the steep price that must be paid for stealing another man’s work, and for placing ambition and success above life’s most fundamental three words.

Amy Adams Joins Renner & Cooper In American Bullsh*t

July 19, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Following yesterday’s news that Jeremy Renner is in talks to join Bradley Cooper in David O. Russell’s upcoming movie, American Bullshit, comes info via THR that Amy Adams has joined the cast as well.

The movie is based on the true story of a con man (Bradley Cooper) who rather unwillingly helped the FBI unravel an enormous conspiracy spanning from Philadelphia to Washington D.C. Adams is set to play Maxine Gardner, the con man’s mistress, who also helps the FBI agent (Jeremy Renner) tackle the case.

David O. Russell, who directed Amy Adams in The Fighter, is working from a screenplay by Eric Singer (The International). Filming on the movie should begin next February.

Jeremy Renner In Talks To Replace Christian Bale In American Bullsh*t

July 18, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Jeremy Renner is now in negotiations to star in American Bullsh*t for Sony Pictures and director David O. Russell, replacing Christian Bale, who was in talks for the movie but was forced to drop out due to scheduling issues. Renner will join Bradley Cooper, who’s been attached for a while and is now officially in negotiations to star.

Eric Singer (The International) wrote the screenplay, based on the true story of a con artist and his mistress, who were forced to work with the FBI to take down other grifters, mobsters, and politicians involved in a vast conspiracy. Jeremy Renner will be Jimmy Boyle, the FBI agent who busts the con artist, Mel Weinberg (Bradley Cooper), and forces him to help solve the Abscam corruption case, which spans from Philadelphia to Washington D.C.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in February. Bradley Cooper also stars in David O. Russell’s latest, The Silver Linings Playbook, which hits cinemas latest this year. (Source: Variety)

Silver Linings Playbook Trailer – Bradley Cooper has mental issues

June 29, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Well this looks like it might be fun. David O’Russell’s film has an incredible cast including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker (making his first non Rush Hour film appearance since Jackie Brown in 1997). Here’s the synopsis: ‘Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Pat Solatano (Cooper) has lost everything – his house, his job, and his wife. He now finds himself living back with his mother and father after spending eight months in a state institution on a plea bargain. Pat is determined to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife, despite the challenging circumstances of their separation. All Pat’s parents want is for him to get back on his feet – and to share their family’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. When Pat meets Tiffany (Lawrence), a mysterious girl with problems of her own, things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives.’

Hit And Run Red Band Trailer – Dax Shepard & Bradley Cooper go on the road

June 28, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Hit and Run is the story of Charlie Bronson (Dax Shepard), a former getaway driver who busts out of the Witness Protection Program to drive his girlfriend (Kristen Bell) to Los Angeles so she can land her dream job. Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, when they are chased by the feds (led by Tom Arnold), and increasingly dangerous, when Charlie’s former gang of criminals (led by Bradley Cooper) enter the fray. Although Shepard has a variable track record in lead roles, it’s a great cast. The trailer does skirt on the edge of racism and seems slightly obsessed with Bradley Cooper having been raped in prison, but hopefully in the context of the movie it doesn’t come across a homophobic.

Bradley Cooper Developing American Sniper

May 25, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Bradley Cooper sure likes attaching himself to movies, and now he’s got one more, as THR reports that Cooper is set to produce and probably star in American Sniper, based on the autobiography of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.

Jason Dean Hall will write the script about Kyle, who holds the records for most sniper kills by an American. The book has been praised for its frankness in telling a first-person account of a warrior who shoots from far and close distances. It also includes portions written by Kyle’s wife, balancing out the story to show both the home perspective as well as that of a soldier who’s out to kill.

Navy SEALs have sure been popular in Hollywood since the killing of Osama Bin Laden, and this is just one of many projects in the works about the special operatives. We’ll have to wait and see if this one actually goes ahead, but having Cooper on board probably helps.
