The cast of Warcraft is certainly filling up ahead of the shoot, which begins in a few week’s time. It’s been announced that Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown have signed up join the cast of Warcraft, which will see them star alongside the likes of Travis Fimmel, Paul Patton, Ben Foster, Robert Kazinsky, Dominic Cooper and Toby Kebbell.
Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) is set to direct, working from a script he re-wrote, based on a previous version by Charles Leavitt. Filming is set to begin in Vancouver this January.
Daniel Wu has twice been nominated for Best Actor at the prestigious Golden Horse Film Festival (Night Corridor, Like a Dream) and won the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2004 with New Police Story. One Nite in Mongkok brought Wu a Best Actor nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Other credits include The Shinjuku Incident, Protege, Overheard, The Banquet, The Last Supper, Europa, and Tai Chi 0, which Wu executive produced.
Clancy Brown can currently be seen in the feature film Homefront starring opposite James Franco and Jason Statham. Next year, Brown will star in the feature When the Game Stands Tall opposite Laura Dern.
