Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (DVD Review)

November 22, 2015 By Tim Isaac 1 Comment

Starring: Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff, Cassie Scerbo, Frankie Muniz
Director: Anthony C. Ferrante
Running Time: 93 mins
Certificate: 15
Release Date: November 23rd 2015 (UK)

Sharknado hasn’t done badly for a franchise where the joke should have worn off after the first five minutes. The first movie survived simply by its jaw-dropping but oddly good-natured ridiculousness, while the second was made vaguely watchable by being sometimes imaginative about the over-the-top ways it could find to kill people with flying sharks and to get people to kill the massive cartilaginous fish.

But now we come to part 3, where any imagination has run out and the whole thing comes across as so cynical that you can almost feel the makers smirking that anyone would be stupid enough to want to watch a third movie about tornados that throw sharks at people. [Read more…]

David Hasselhoff & Ray Liotta To Play Themselves In Stretch

June 27, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

david-hasselhoffJust yesterday we reported that James Badge Dale had joined the likes of Patrick Wilson, Chris Pine, Brooklyn Decker and Ed Helms in Joe Carnahan’s Stretch. Now the cast has expanded some more, with TheWrap reporting that Ray Liotta and David Hasselhoff have signed on to play versions of themselves in the flick, with Shane Toub also set to appear.

The film is about a downtrodden man (Patrick Wilson) who becomes the limo driver for an eccentric billionaire (Chris Pine). What he doesn’t know is that his boss is about to make his life a living hell. As the limo drives around, what the driver doesn’t know is that the billionaire is trying to sell a list of his criminal associates to the highest bidder, which means there are some very dangerous people looking for the car. Ed Helms will be the man’s limo driver colleague.

There’s no info on exactly how Liotta and Hasselhoff will fit into the film. It’s due to start shooting at the end of the month.

The kids trying to enjoy their Spring Break at Lake Victoria didn’t have much fun when a bunch of prehistoric pirahna decided to kill everyone in Pirahna 3D, and now the beasties are moving on to a water park for the sequel. With its tongue shoved even further into its cheek, the movie adds the likes of David Hasselhoff to the mix for more fishy madness! The film’s due out this spring.
