With a shoot planned for this spring, Sofia Copolla is staring to fill the cast of her next movie, The Bling Ring. A few days ago Emma Watson and American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga signed on, and now THR reports Leslie Mann and Israel Broussard (Flipped) have joined the cast too.
The drama is based on the true story of six teenagers, known as The Bling Ring, who broke into the homes of Hollywood celebrities, making off with over $3 million in stolen goods from October 2008 to August 2009. Leslie Mann will play the mother of two girls in The Bling Ring, while Israel Broussard portrays the male lead.
Sofia Coppola is directing The Bling Ring from her own screenplay. The director has also cast three newcomers, Katie Chang, Claire Pfister and Georgia Rock, who will make their feature debuts as members of The Bling Ring.
