We might have had to wait quite a while for the release of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, but it’s not long now until the film’s February 22nd release. To help up the anticipation, Paramount has released a new red band trailer, showing this fairytale is going to be pretty violent.

The film sees Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as grown up versions of Hansel & Gretel, who now work as bounty hunters tracking down witches. If you were thinking this was going to be all buttercups and fairytale prettiness, think again, as it’s going to have plenty of blood and guts, along with a dark sense of humour. If all had gone to the original plan, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters would have hit cinemas last spring, but it got delayed (some have suggested because it’s not that great, others have said that movie was waiting for Jeremy Renner to get more famous).
