April 22, 2018 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

While there was a lot of trepidation over whether Hollywood was capable of making a Deadpool movie that captured the sardonic spirit of a character that lives in the X-Men world but is very different to the others. However, the resulting film was a critical and commercial hit, ensuring a sequel was quickly put into the works.

A new trailer for Deadpool 2 is now here, which you can take a look at below.

Deadpool Super Bowl Spot – The Merc With A Mouth doesn’t have much time for football

February 8, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Deadpool-International-One-Sheet-slideAs you might expect, Deadpool isn’t going to let the Super Bowl go by without a quip and a snide comment – although one that it has to be said that feels like it was carefully picked not to be too offensive. With the movie due out this week, the Big Game was the perfect opportunity to showcase the X-Men character’s unique brand of superhero-antics.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.’

The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein. It’ll be in cinemas in February, but enjoy the trailer below.

December 25, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

deadpool-christmas-posterI’m sure that when you opened your presents this morning, there was a nagging sadeness in your soul, wishing that someone had given you a trailer for a movie about a wise-cracking sort-of-superhero, who’s taking the X-Men franchise in a rather different direction. Deadpool Trailer – The Merc With A Mouth is here and he’s Red Band

August 5, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Deadpool-logo-posterOver the years a Deadpool movie was in the works many fans were worried that the notoriously sarcastic, rude and violent character would get toned down and made family friendly, much as he was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

However the first trailer is very keen to show while Deadpool may have come from the X-Men universe, this is going to be an R-rated movie with plenty of blood, bad language and humour – complete with the character’s trademark breaking of the fourth wall.

Allison Janney & Morena Baccarin Are Set To Spy Alongside Melissa McCarthy

May 2, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Allison-JanneyPaul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) is pulling together an impressive cast for Spy. Now he’s got a couple of new addition, with Deadline reporting that Allison Janney and Morena Baccarin have signed up for the movie.

Melissa McCarthy has the central role, with the likes of Rose Byrne, Jason Statham, Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Miranda Hart, Nia Long, 50 Cent, Peter Serafinowicz, Nargis Fakhri, Bjorn Gustafsson and Verka Serduchka joining her.

Not too much info has been released about the comedy, other than that it’s about an unlikely female secret agent called Susan Cooper, played by McCarthy. Baccarin will be Karen Walker, although there’s no info on exactly how she fits into the plot, while Janney is Elaine Crocker, a CIA agent who crosses paths with McCarthy’s evidence.

The movie will reunite Janney and McCarthy, who star together in this summer’s Tammy.
