Patrick Wilson Opens His Zipper Alongside Richard Dreyfuss & Lena Headey

February 14, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

patrick-wilsonPatrick Wilson will be showing us his Zipper, as Variety reports that he’s signed up for a movie going by that name, which is also due to star Richard Dreyfuss and Lena Headey.

The indie drama will see ‘Dreyfuss portray the role of political operator and kingmaker. Wilson is playing successful family man who presumably has it all until he risks losing everything due to his inability to fight off his obsessive temptation for other women’.

Mora Stephens is set to direct, and she’s also co-writing the script alongside Joel Viertel. Darren Aronofsky is producing. The movie has already started shooting in Louisiana.

Richard Dreyfuss & Danny Glover Up For Killing Winston Jones

November 21, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Glover don’t get to make enough movies anymore, so it’s good news they’re teaming up for Killing Winston Jones, and according to Variety they’ll be joined by Danny Masterson and Jon Heder.

The indie dark comedy comes from a script by Justin T. Winter, which focuses on a sixth grade English teacher (Masterson) who is on a quest to get a recently built junior high gymnasium named as a memorial to his father… even though his dad’s not dead. Dreyfuss will pay Masterson’s not-so-late father, while Glover will play a rival who has his own plans for the gymnasium’s name. There’s no mention of what role Heder will have.

Who knew naming a gym could be so fraught?

Cameras start rolling Monday in Savannah, Georgia, with Joel David Moore directing. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s best known as an actor, who’s starred in the likes of Avatar and Dodgeball, as well as having a recurring role in TV’s Bones. He previously helmed Spiral.

Richard Dreyfuss Joins Jason Priestley’s Directorial Debut, Cas & Dylan

August 14, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

We haven’t seen much of Jason Priestley in the last few years. He’s popped up in guest roles on TV shows like Psych and Haven and took the lead role in the series Call Me Fitz. Now he’s decided to go behind the camera, to direct his first theatrical movie, Cas & Dylan.

It’s not his first directorial outing, as he’s helmed numerous episodes of TV shows and a few television movies. Now its seems he’s got enough practise in to go to cinemas, and THR reports he’s got Richard Dreyfuss onboard to star.

Dreyfuss will play Dr. Cas Pepper, a dying man whose plans to check out on his own terms, but takes a reluctant detour when he winds up on the lam with a young woman, played by Tatiana Maslany. The Canadian indie movie is working from a script by Jessie Gabe (Being Erica).
