Tom Felton, Garret Dillahunt & Jake Abel Up For WWII Movie Ghosts of the Pacific

April 10, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tom-feltonGarret Dillahunt (Raising Hope), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), and Jake Abel (The Host) are getting together for a World War II movie called Ghosts of the Pacific, which tells the true story of three Navy flyers who got cast adrift on the South Pacific in 1942.

Brian Falk will make his directorial debut with the film, which tells the incredible journey of pilot Harold Dixon (Dillahunt), bombardier Tony Pastula (Felton), and radioman Gene Aldrich (Abel), who were virtual strangers assigned to a scouting mission on January 16, 1942. When they were forced to ditch their plane in the ocean, the men were left with no food, water, or supplies; only a 4ft by 8ft yellow life raft to keep them afloat.
Written by Mark David Keegan and Falk,

Ghosts of the Pacific is scheduled to commence principal photography April 15th, working from a script by Falk and Mark David Keegan. The movie will shoot at Baja Studios in Rosarito, Mexico, which houses the largest outdoor water tank in the world, built for James Cameron’s Titanic.

Tom Felton May Feel An Attachment For Director Tony Kaye

March 15, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Since the end of Harry Potter, the smart money for the young actors who are going to have long, successful careers has been on Daniel Radcliffe and Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton. Despite having spent most of his youth playing a villain, Felton has a large fanbase and has already seen some success with Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, as well as having various other roles lined up in the likes of The Apparition and Therese Raquin.

Now it appears he may be getting seduced by Sharon Stone in Tony Kaye’s upcoming thriller, Attachment. The director himself revealed the news while talking to ComingSoon. Stone will play a married teacher who has a one-night stand with a student, who Kaye says will be played by Felton. Her infidelity comes back to haunt her when the young man starts dating the teacher’s daughter, and stalks the whole family. It certainly doesn’t sound like Tom’s escaping his villainous stereotyping!

American History X helmer Kaye hopes to start shooting Attachment in the next couple of months.

Tom Felton, Elizabeth Olsen & Glenn Close Up For Therese Raquin

February 9, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Daniel Radcliffe isn’t the only Harry Potter actor carving out a bright post-Hogwarts career. There’s also Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy), who Deadline reports has signed up to star in Therese Raquin, alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Glenn Close. And this time Tom doesn’t have to play the villain, as he’s gonna be the victim!

The project is based Emile Zola’s 1867 novel, which was later turned into a famous stage play. The story centres on the title character (Elizabeth Olsen), who murders her sickly husband Camille (Tom Felton) with the help of Laurent, her new lover. Years later, she discovers Camille is haunting her new marriage with Laurent, turning each of them against each other. Glenn Close will play Therese Raquin’s mother, who arranged the marriage with Camille.

Charlie Stratton (Formosa Betrayed) is directing from his own screenplay, although it’s not certain when shooting will begin.
