Starring: Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzy Caplan, Woody Harrelson, Daniel Radcliffe
Director: Jon M. Chu
Running Time: 129 mins
Certificate: 12
Release Date: November 7th 2016 (UK)

2013’s Now You See Me proved a far bigger hit than most people expected, which has ensured we’ve now got a follow-up. After their Robin Hood exploits in the first movie, illusionists The Horsemen have been in hiding, waiting for ‘The Eye’ to tell them what they should do next. They also have a new member, with Lizzy Caplan’s Lula joining Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Jack (Dave Franco) and Merritt (Woody Harrelson), along with their leader, FBI Agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo).

They get an assignment to take down someone who’s destroying personal privacy, but their comeback goes wrong when they’re hacked, kidnapped and taken to Macau, China. There they meet Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe), who tells them that it was largely his money they stole in the first movie, and that they now have to do his bidding if they want to live. Now You See Me 2 Trailer – The Four Horsemen (& Daniel Radcliffe) are back

March 16, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

now-you-see-me-2-pic1-slideAfter the surprise success of Now You See Me, it didn’t take long for them to put a sequel into development. It has taken a little longer to arrive that originally planned, but now it’s on its way and the main trailer has arrived.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘THE FOUR HORSEMEN return for their second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin-Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance. When the Horsemen are threatened into pulling off their most impossible heist yet, their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

‘Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Jay Chou, Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Caine. NOW YOU SEE ME 2 is released in UK cinemas on 4th July 2016.’ [Read more…]

GI Joe: Retaliation’s Jon M. Chu May Helm Now You See Me 2

June 13, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Jon-M-ChuFew people had high hope for Now You See Me before its release, but after it grossed $350 million around the world, it’s little surprise Lionsgate started developing a sequel. Initially director Louis Leterrier was due to return for the follow-up, but now it appears he’s left the movie behind.

However Variety reports that they’re closing in on a replacement, with GI Joe: Retaliation helmer Jon M. Chu emerging as the front runner.

It’s not known why Leterrier left, but with Lionsgate hoping to shoot Now You See Me 2 this October, it’s likely there’s a scheduling conflict with Grimsby, the Sasha Baron Cohen vehicle Leterrier is she to film this summer.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Mark Ruffalo are all expected to return, although its not known what the plot will be. However it will undoubtedly follow the further exploits of The Four Horsemen, magicians who in the first film uses their skills to pull off elaborate bank heists during their performances.
