New The Good Dinosaur Trailer – Take a fresh look at Pixar’s dinos meet humans movie

October 6, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

good-dinosaur-pic1After being delayed from last year while it underwent a bit of retooling, Pixar’s second movie on 2015 is one its way in the form of The Good Dinosaur.

A new trailer has now arrived which gives us our best feel yet for the film, which takes a look at what might have happened if human and dinosaurs lived side by side. You can also take a look a some posters too.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘”The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.’

The film will be in cinemas towards the end of November. [Read more…]

The Good Dinosaur Trailer – Pixar brings dinos and humans together

July 21, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

good-dinosaur-pic1I’m sure evolutionary scientists would be the first to say that if as asteroid hadn’t wiped out the dinosaurs it’s very unlikely we’d be living alongside them now (indeed, we’d almost certainly not exist as a species), but it’s still a fun idea and one Pixar running with for The Good Dinosaur.

Now the first full trailer has arrived.

It’s out in UK cinemas on November 27th. [Read more…]

The Good Dinosaur Teaser Trailer – Plus a poster for Pixar’s movie

June 2, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Good-Dinosaur-Teaser-poster1Last year Pixar very rudely didn’t release a movie at all, but they’re making up for it with two in 2015 – Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. The latter was actually supposed to have a 2014 release but a major reworking saw the release date shoved back to this November.

Now the first teaser trailer and a poster have arrived giving us a look at a film that sees dinosaurs and humans living side by side, with the footage showing us how that might have happened (although I’m sure evolutionary scientists would take issue with it, as would creationists, so this may be the first time ever they can find something to agree about).

Take a look at the teaser below. [Read more…]

New Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur Concept Art Arrives

November 19, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Good-Dinosaur-Concept-Art2Pixar is not a company prepared to release a movie until they think it’s absolutely ready. Several times in its history it’s severely delayed releases, replaced directors a long way into production and completely revamped storylines.

Now it’s happening again with The Good Dinosaur, which was original set to arrive in cinemas last summer but got pushed back December 2015 after original director Bob Peterson was removed in August 2013 and Peter Sohn, with rumours suggesting the entire thing was getting a complete overhaul. It even appears the characters are getting somewhat redesigned, as evidenced by the new concept art above, which differs from previously released imagery.

Here’s the brief synopsis: ‘”The Good Dinosaur” tells the story of Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart who sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way—a human boy. Directed by Peter Sohn (“Partly Cloudy”) and produced by Denise Ream (“Cars 2”), “The Good Dinosaur” opens in UK cinemas on 4th December, 2015.’

First Poster For Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur

October 26, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

good-dinosaur-poster1
Disney-Pixar recently delayed The Good Dinosaur from 2014 to Thanksgiving 2015, but they’re still keen to let us know it’s coming, as they’ve released the first poster for the movie.

As a result, we get to meet Arlo the Dinosaur and his new friend. The film is set in an alternate reality where the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago missed the earth. As a result Dinosaurs still rule as the dominant species, even though there’s still space for human to have evolved. One day, a young dinosaur discovers a toddler and his family decides to adopt it as their own.

Hopefully we’ll get to see more from the movie soon.

Lucas Neff & Neil Patrick Harris Up For Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, With Amy Poehler Going Inside Out

August 10, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

good-dinosaur-concept-art1
Pixar has been revealing info about some of their upcoming movies. While we knew they had films in the works about dinosaurs and a film set inside the human brain, we now know they’re called The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out. We’ve also got new concept art pics from the films and info about the voice casts.

Raising Hope’s Lucas Neff leads The Good Dinosaur cast, playing Apatosaurus Arlo. The film is set in a world when an asteroid never made the dinosaurs extinct, so they now live alongside humans. After a traumatic event rattles the enormous Arlo’s (Lucas Neff) tranquil community, he sets out on a quest to restore peace, gaining an unlikely companion along the way in the form of a young human boy named Spot.

Disney have revealed that Arlo’s Poppa will be played by John Leguizamo, Momma will be Frances McDormand and Sister Ivy is Judy Greer. Bill Hader and Neil Patrick Harris will be Arlo’s two older brothers. The film’s due out May 30th, 2014.

inside-out-concept-art1Inside Out takes you to a place that everyone knows, but no one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind. Riley, an 11-year-old girl who recently moved with her family to San Francisco, is not the main character but the setting for the film. Moviegoers will go inside her mind to explore how memories are formed and how a mixture of five emotions- Joy, Disgust, Anger, Fear and Sadness – define life experiences.

Amy Poehler is Joy, Lewis Black is Anger, Mindy Kaling will be Disgust, Phyllis Smith takes on Sadness, while Bill Hader is Fear. You can see the Five Emotions in the photo above. Inside Out should be in cinemas June 19th, 2015.
