Crush Of The Day: Xavier Samuel & James Frecheville Shirtless In Adore

August 18, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

adore-pic1-slide
What if you and you best friend started dating each other’s mums? Yep, I’m betting you’re thinking that’s not a good idea (particularly because if you’re a typical BGPS reader you’re a gay man – oh, and the mum thing of course). However that’s the basic idea behind Adore.

Now some new pics from the film have been revealed that focus of the movie’s young men, Xavier Samuel & James Frecheville, and getting their shirts off.

Based on Doris Lessing’s novel, Lil (Naomi Watts) and Roz (Robin Wright) are two lifelong friends. Their young adult sons (Frecheville, Samuel) have also developed a friendship as strong as the one between their mothers. One summer, all four are confronted by simmering emotions that have been mounting between them, and each find unexpected happiness in relationships that cross the bounds of convention.

The film is out September 6th in the US. [Read more…]

Weekend & Downton’s Tom Cullen Gets Sexy On The Cover Of Attitude

August 17, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tom-cullen-attitude-cover
Tom Cullen got a lot of fans thanks to his starring role in the LGBT hit Weekend, and now he’s going to get a lot more as he’s joined the cast of Downton Abbey. He’s playing Lord Gillingham, who is rumoured to be the new love interest of the widowed Lady Mary.

Ahead of his debut in the show, he’s become the latest cover star for gay mag Attitude, who took a very sexy shot of the 28-year-old to splash on the front, which you can see above.

They also chatted with the actor, who talked about how great it was to work with legends such as Maggie Smith and Shirley Maclaine. He says, “It’s kind of surreal, though, being in a room with Maggie Smith and Shirley MacLaine. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on?’

“The thing about Maggie is, because she’s been doing this for so long, she knows how to get the best out of a scene and she doesn’t take any bull****.

“At the same time, she’s just the most humble woman and she’s so, so funny. Honestly, Maggie makes me wee out of my eyes!”

New Pics From James Franco’s Biopic Of Gay Star Sal Mineo

August 17, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

sal-james-franco-pic1
It’s been two years since James Franco’s made Sal, shooting it in a ridiculously quick nine days, but it’s been on the shelf since then. However it’s finally heading to US cinemas in November, and The Advocate and Queerty have gotten hold of some images from the movie and the set, which you can see above and below.

Mineo is famed for his roles in the likes of Rebel Without A Cause, Giant and The Longest Day, and while he did have some relationships with women, in the late 60s he became one of the first Hollywood actors to ever acknowledge he was gay. Tragically in 1976, while he was living in San Francisco playing a bisexual burglar in the stage comedy, P.S. Your Cat Is Dead, he was murdered in what is believed to be a robbery gone wrong (reports Mineo was trying to solicit his killer for sex are unfounded).

Not too much is known about the movie, although it’s believed to concentrate on the last days of Sal’s life. Val Lauren plays Mineo, with Franco taking a supporting role as Milton Kaselas, the director of the play Sal was starring in before he died. And from the evidence of these images, it appears Mineo does a lot of working out in the film.

Take a look at the pics below. [Read more…]

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Gets Shirtless (& Upside-Down) For Men’s Health

August 14, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

aaron-taylor-johnson-shirtless-mens-health
Aaron Taylor-Johnson had to do a lot of working out for Kick-Ass 2 and then needed to keep that level of fitness up for the currently shooting Godzilla. It’s perhaps not surprising then that he wants to show off the fruits of his labours, stripping his shirt off and showing off his strength for Men’s Health.

Aaron also told the magazine about the fact he did have to hide his muscles for parts of the Kick-Ass 2. “Throughout the movie he’s still got to be a weedy kid from high school, so I couldn’t have anything too dramatic,” said Taylor-Johnson.

“It had to be a reveal at the end. We got around that by wearing a lot baggier clothes. I don’t think there was a particular shape. It was more like he ends up getting trained by Hit-Girl and by the end of it he’s like, ‘F**k it, if I’m going to be a superhero then I’d better start training like one’.”

The Kick-Ass 2 trailer showed we will get some pretty impressive Taylor-Johnson musculature in the film, even if we do have to wait for the end.

And is it just us or if you look at Aaron the right way up, is he making major sex face? See if you agree with us below. [Read more…]

Crush Of The Day: Douglas Booth Goes Outdoors For GQ

August 12, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

douglas-booth-gq1-slide
Douglas Booth is undoubtedly incredibly pretty. Indeed it’s little surprise that before he started getting acting roles he was a model. After appearing in the likes of LOL and Christopher And His Kind (where he played Matt Smith’s lover), the 21-year-old has got his biggest role yet playing the male lead in the upcoming Romeo And Juliet, opposite Hailee Steinfeld’s Juliet.

He’s been talking to GQ about the role and has also posed for a few very nice photos where he heads outdoor and does his best country gent impression.

Click on the pics below for larger versions (and you can find more hot pics of Douglas Booth here). Romeo And Juliet hits US cinemas on September 6th, and should be out in the UK later this year. [Read more…]

Take A Look At Tom Hiddleston Singing The Bare Necessities

August 12, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

At Comic-Con Tom Hiddleston came out in full Loki gear to berate the crowd for being worthy and unworthy to be in his presence. Not to be outdone, for his appearance at Disney’s D23, he decided to do a short rendition of The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book.

He sure likes to please a crowd (and as always looks ridiculously suave while doing it).

He was at the even alongside Christina Hendricks to promote the animated adventure The Pirate Fairy, in which he’ll voice a young man who’ll eventually become Captain Hook, while Hendricks will be a rebellious fairy.

However if Disney ever decides to remake The Jungle Book, they’ve now got Hiddleston’s audition to replace Phil Harris. [Read more…]

Crush Of The Day: Robbie Amell For Bello Mag

August 11, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

robbie-amell-slide
This time last year it was all about Stephen Amell as The CW geared up to launch Arrow on the world. Now it’s the turn of his brother, Robbie, who’s taking a starring role in The Tomorrow People, a US TV version of a 1970s British television show about a group of teens who have special powers and can communicate telepathically. They work together to take on evil.

Ahead of the show’s debut in October, Robbie’s been chatting with Bello and also posing for some rather hot photographs, which we couldn’t help but admire.

Robbie’s previously appeared in the likes of 1600 Penn, Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous and played Fred in a couple of Scooby Doo TV movies. However recently he’s been rather outshone by older bro Stephen and his ridiculously toned bod.

Take a look at the great pics of Robbie below and then click here for some of Stephen and decide which brother is the hotter Amell. (The latest issue of Bello is available to read on the mag’s website for a limited time) [Read more…]

Will Forte & Jason Sudeikis Lock Lips In A New Mumford & Sons Video

August 5, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Mumford & Sons have certainly pulled in some great comedy names for the video for Hopeless Wanderer. They’ve got Jason Bateman, Ed Helms, Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte to parody the band, with Forte and Sudeikis even locking lips at one point for some full-on saliva swapping.

It’s a lot of fun and it looks like the comedy lads had a good time making the vid, giving a bit of an American country vibe to the British folk band.

It’s not a bad song either. (And just take a look at Jason Bateman’s face in the screenshot below, as he doesn’t seem to be enjoying this bit of man-love). [Read more…]

Ryan Gosling Shows Off An Impressive Package In A Place Beyond The Pines Deleted Scene

August 3, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

There are many reasons to admire Ryan Gosling, just one of which is his willingness to strip down for a role (for very artistic reasons, of course). Indeed Gosling’s fleshly offerings have had more appreciation – especially his Crazy Stupid Love abs – than pretty much any actor in recent years.

We can’t understand them when on earth they’d have cut Gosling stripping down in The Place Beyond The Pines and showing off, as many on the web have already pointed out, a very impressive bulge.

Now that deleted scene in question has been released via Total Film and you can watch the whole thing above. Alternatively, take a look at the GIF version of the bit that’s gotten people excited below.

The Place Beyond The Pines hits DVD & Blu-ray soon. [Read more…]

James Deen Says Kissing A Guy In The Canyons Was No Big Deal As He’s Done It Before

August 3, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

james-deenPorn star James Deen has gone legit with The Canyons, which opened in US cinemas last Friday and sees him starring alongside Lindsay Lohan in a noirish Hollywood tale. It also features him kissing another guy. As he’s known for being a very straight porn actor, the man-on-man lip locking has prompted a lot of questions for journalists.

However Deen isn’t really that impressed with being asked questions about it over and over. When asked by Gawker if it made him uncomfortable, he says, “Not really. I’ve kissed other dudes in my life, so it’s not really a big deal. I have this conversation a lot because there is still a lot of homophobia in the world and in adult films, when you’re sharing a scene with another dude and a lady, sometimes certain things come up: gay this, gay that. The way I define gay or homosexuals is a sexual attraction to a member of the same sex.

“I fully believe that people can engage in any sort of activity. Like I hate basketball, but I’ve played basketball before and it doesn’t make me a professional basketball player. That [gay-sex] scene was a very important part of the movie, because it kind of represents the power switch. I think Bret was really worried I wouldn’t want to do it. It’s part of the script. It’s not like it’s real life. I’m not shooting a porno where I have to get physically erect and have sex with a dude. I think it was kind of a weight off of everyone’s shoulders that I wasn’t going to create an issue with it.”

I wouldn’t expect him to make a move into gay porn anytime soon though.
