If You Want To Re-Enact Twilight, Maybe Equinox Animal Flow Is For You

The Twilight Saga is now over, but if you fancy doing some Twilight LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing), then perhaps you need to follow the Equinox Animal Flow programme seen in the video above. Equinox is a chain of gyms in the US, but with this latest vid they’re encouraging people to get their shirts off and go out into the wilds (and not just for some sleazy cruising).

The vid is pretty hot, and it’s difficult not to be reminded of Twilight, except in slow-motion (and the acting is better in this clip). The idea behind Animal Flow is apparently to take things back to basics, with ‘A new system of fluid, fundamental movements that combines Parkour, break dancing, gymnastics, free running and circus arts’. That’s all very well and good, but I’m pretty sure that even if I trained for the next 10 years, I’d never get as fit and bendy as the guy in the video.

However sitting on the couch being very lazy and watching him on the Internet seems a pretty good way to spend a few minutes, and far less exhausting than actually doing it. (And thanks to the guys at NewNowNext for tipping us off to the vid)

See A 12-Year-Old Ryan Gosling Getting Excited About Being A Mouseketeer

Now that he’s one of the prettiest and coolest people on the planet, it seem rather strange to remember that once upon a time in the early 90s, Ryan Gosling was a Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club, singing and prancing around alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

We came across the video above, which sees Gosling as a 12-year-old, shortly after he scored the role. He talks to Canadian TV all about how he got the part of what he’s going to be doing on The MMC. Aw, isn’t he sweet – although it is slightly perturbing that he’s barely changed in the past 20 years, he’s just a lot taller now (although judging from the bagginess of his clothes in the bottom clip, he probably wears the same sizes as he did back then).

And if the video above isn’t enough mini Gosling for you, we’ve included a couple of vids of him in The Mickey Mouse Club below. However you should be warned – watching their cheesiness may make you lose some respect for him, even if he was only a nipper when he made the series.

The real question is when is he going to make a musical so we can see what he’s like as a singer now?

Ryan Gosling’s Face Gets Bashed In (But Luckily Only In A Promo Image)

Beating Ryan Gosling’s pretty face to a pulp would essentially be an act of blasphemy, but he’s not looking too pretty in this promo image from Only God Forgives. It suggests that after the blood-soaked Drive, Gosling and director Nicolas Winding Refn aren’t going for sugar plums and fairies in their latest collaboration.

The film stars Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas, with word coming through that it’s likely to be finished by December, ready for release at some point next year.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Julian (Gosling) lives in exile in Bangkok where he runs a Thai boxing club as a front for the family’s drugs smuggling operation. When Julian’s brother Billy is killed their mother, Jenna (Scott Thomas), arrives in the city. She wants revenge and forces Julian to find the killer. Julian’s contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands that Julian kill The Angel of Vengeance, an act that will cost him dearly.’

I’m not sure how Gosling does it, but he’s one of the few people who can make being bloodied and half-blinded look sexy. If it’s half as good as Drive we’re in for a treat.

Gerard Butler Gets Shirtless In New Playing For Keeps Pic

I have a theory that when the people marketing a rom-com start releasing shots of the male stars with their shirts off, it’s almost an admission the film won’t be great – almost as if they’re saying, ‘Hey, the film might be rubbish, but maybe you’ll be able to at least get your rocks off a little’.

Hopefully that won’t be true of Playing For Keeps, even if we do now have a random shot of Gerard Butler wearing nothing but a towel, showing off his abs and the scruff of hair on his chest.

In the movie, Gerard Butler gets his David Beckham on as a charming, down-on-his luck former soccer star who returns home to put his life back together. Looking for a way to rebuild his relationship with his son, he gets roped into coaching the boy’s soccer team. But his attempts to finally become an “adult” are met with hilarious challenges from the attractive “soccer moms” who pursue him at every turn. The film co-stars Jessica Biel, Dennis Quaid and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The movie hits US cinemas on December 7th and comes to the UK on January 1st. Hopefully despite my theory about shirtless rom-com pics, Playing For Keeps will be a good one (and personally I’m hoping for more rubbish rom-coms as the images are certainly nice).

Apropos Of Nothing: 1995 Gay Guinness Ad Goes Viral

Nowadays having gay people in adverts is rare but certainly not unheard of (for example Lloyds TSB has recently been trumpeting the addition of a gay couple to their ads featuring weird looking CGI people), but back in 1995 it was seen as so controversial that a Guinness ad featuring two gay men wasn’t just pulled before it aired, but the company even went so far as to deny it ever existed.

Now the ad has gone viral, giving us a look at what could have been. The commercial has been seen by thousands since a report on it went live recently on Ad Respect, which looked at why it was banned. They say, ‘Artfully shot with the help of maverick California-based British producer Tony Kaye, the UK tabloid press widely reported the planned ad before it aired, to much scandal. Pubs and consumers were shocked that the traditional brand would air a gay ad.

‘Fearing greater backlash by straight consumers, the TV spot was ultimately dropped by Guinness. Later, the company tried to deny that this spot even existed.“There was a desire by the agency and Guinness to have a certain ambiguity about it,” Kaye told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. in 1997 about the ad he created. “So that when you watch the spot, you said, ‘Well are these guys gay or not?’ These guys are gay — the storytelling, to me, needed him to give the other guy a little peck on the cheek.”

‘When asked why the company would deny the existence of the ad he shot, Kaye offered, “Most of them have the vision of a dead rat. I think it was charming and it was very funny and would sell a hell of a lot of beer.”

It’s certainly a rather sweet ad and it’s a shame it never aired, although in 1995 it would have definitely been a surprise to many to see two men give each other a peck on the cheek in an advert. It doesn’t hurt either that both men ad very good looking. Take a look at it above.

Crush Of The Day: The Men Of Twilight

Although Twilight has the incredible ability to split people into camps of those who utterly adore everything about it and those who reserve a special hatred for it that infects every part of their soul, the series has brought us some very pretty guys.

So with the final instalment (well, until they find some way of keeping the cash cow going), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, hitting cinemas on Friday (November 16th), I thought it was about time to present an appreciation of the men of Twilight. And we’re not just talking Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, as we’ve always got some nice pics of the likes of Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale), Lee Pace (Garrett), and the incredibly hunky Wolf Pack.

There is a smorgasbord of hotties in Twilight, as it seems only pretty people can become Vampires or Werewolves. So even if you won’t be queued up this weekend to find out what happens to Edward, Bella, Jacob and co. as they try to protect half-vampire child Renesmee, enjoy the images below. David Arquette Is Looking Buff On The Set Of His New Movie

David Arquette isn’t normally at the forefront of lists of buff looking actors, but he obviously knew he was going to be scantily clad in his upcoming movie Orion, and he so hit the gym. To show off his newly found pecs and thank his personal trainer, he’s tweeted a picture from the set, and he’s not wearing an awful lot.

David’s certainly looking good, although we’re not entirely sure about the leather underwear and chains look (it certainly wouldn’t work if you were going to the pub on a Saturday night – although it’d probably fit well in some of the camper gay clubs). Unfortunately I’m not certain what Orion is about either, although it also stars Lily Cole and Arquette has suggested it’s a bit like a futuristic Sandford And Son.

I’m sure we’ll find out more when it’s released next year. Until then, enjoy Arquette’s buffer form in the new image.

Apropos Of Nothing: David Beckham Is In His Underpants Again

That David Beckham just can’t help himself. As soon as as somebody points a camera at him, he pulls off his clothes and parades about in his underwear. I’m assuming that’s why he agreed to put his name to a range of bodywear for H&M, so he’d have a good excuse to release plenty of pics of him wearing very little.

Now the promo shots for his Christmas range/campaign have arrived, and he even manages to wear a top in a couple of them. He makes up for that with the shot above, which mainly seems designed to show off the outline of his bits (we’re sure there are many people who’ve put it in Photoshop so they can better outline the schlong).

Beckham’s new range includes a hooded morning gown, draw-string pyjama pants, henleys and long johns with padded elbows and knees (quite why long johns need pads we’re not sure, but what the hell, right?). The collection also includes lounging shorts and T-shirts, as well as a towel. Luckily it also includes undies, and while Beckham may look a lot better in them than most people, we’re glad to have the images to prove it. Daniel Radcliffe Gets Arrested (but only on the set of his new film)

Harry Potter is so grown up he’s getting arrested! Well, Daniel Radcliffe’s character in his new movie is anyway. He’s currently shooting Horns, which as you as you can see from the pics above and below, sees him as a young man who literally gets horny.

Omelete managed to get to get hold of some pics from the set, which see Radcliffe getting physical with a man and then resisting arrest!

Based on the best-selling novel by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King) and directed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D) from a screenplay by Keith Bunin (In Treatment), Horns is a supernatural thriller that follows Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple).

Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head and soon realises their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer. It’ll hit cinemas next year, and if these pics are anything to go by Radcliffe will be in fighting form.

Why Has James Franco Been Getting Dirty & Covered In Paint?

James Franco lives in his own little world of artistic endeavour, with his success allowing him to go off and do all sorts of things, such as studying at NYU, writing books, directing movies about homosexual luminaries like poet Hart Crane and actor Sal Mineo, as well as collaborating on a short film inspired by the very gay 40-minutes that were supposedly cut out of the Al Pacino movie Cruising (for a straight guys he sure does love him a bit of gay).

However now we’re not entirely sure what he’s up to in a bunch of new images he’s put online, other than that it involves paint, getting very messy and Franco not wearing a shirt. He posted the pics above and below on his James Franco Presents Rabbit TV WhoSay account, although there’s precious little to explain them. Some have suggested he’s recreating Farrah Fawcett’s nude body-painting video for Playboy, but it’s probably just Franco being weird on what he’d class as an average Tuesday. Or maybe he’s trying to start a new fad for hand-painted teddy bears and bedspreads. Who knows?
