Is Hunger Games Star Josh Hutcherson A Hottie? (Gallery)

March 23, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s always difficult to know with child actors – what point are you allowed to stop thinking of them as a kids and when are you actually allowed to start fancying them? (I still feel a bit dirty when I go ‘phwoar’ at Daniel Radliffe) However I think 21-year-old Josh Hutcherson has certainly crossed over from being the sweet young star of Bridge To Terabithia and Zathura to the rather studly man we’ve seen in Journey 2 and The Hunger Games.

He’s also incredibly gay-friendly, taking time out from his schedule to promote gay rights and most particularly gay-straight alliances in school (you can read more about that here).

With The Hunger Games – in which Hutcherson plays Tribute Peeta – reaching cinemas today, we thought we’d offer a bit of an appreciation of Josh in the film with the image gallery below. Is he a hottie? We think so!

Is Jeremy Irvine The Most Handsome Young Actor Around?

March 14, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Jeremy Irvine in Now Is Good

Occasionally I see a photo of someone looking so youthful and handsome that it almost seems unfair and makes me wonder if there should be a sort of anti-plastic surgery for these people, in order to level the playing field. I had that reaction on see the pic above of War Horse star Jeremy Irvine.

The image comes from 21-year-old’s new movie, Now Is Good, is which he stars opposite Dakota Fanning, and in which he will generally wander around looking too handsome for his own good. The Brit flick is out May 25th, and we’ve gathered some pictures of Jeremy from the film below, so click on them to get a larger version (and when you get to the poster, it’s tough not to wish you were in Dakota Fanning’s place). And why are we doing this? Just because he’s pretty to look at, as if any other excuse were needed!

Here’s the synopsis for Now Is Good and below that you can get the trailer: ‘Tessa is seventeen and passionate about life. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, she determines to use every moment, compiling a catalogue of what a normal teenager would experience, including losing her virginity and taking drugs. With the help of her friend Zoey, she sets the list in motion. While her family deals with fear and grief, each in their own way, Tessa explores a whole new world. Falling in love with Adam, her new neighbour, wasn’t on the list, but it proves to be the most exhilarating experience of them all. Now Is Good will hit cinemas on May 25th.’

Is John Carter A Homage To Taylor Kitsch’s Abs? (Gallery)

March 10, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

From the moment pictures from John Carter started popping up online, it was clear this was Disney’s latest love letter to the male torso, following the Jake Gyllenhaal shirtlessness of Prince Of Persia. However if Prince Of Persia was about lightly furred pecs, John Carter is all about the abs. Indeed, if you look at the costume Taylor Kitsch has to wear when he gets to Mars, it’s pretty much designed to frame his six-pack and give him an excuse not to wear many clothes. He sure looks good though.

We’ve put together a gallery of our favourite John Carter shirtless shots below, as well as a couple of Taylor Kitsch looking suave at the UK premiere.

And to think, they spent all that money of special effects, and all they needed to make some people happy was to get Kitsch as nekkid as possible. Click below to expand the images.

Tom Hanks’ Son Is Officially Hot!

March 6, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The Tom Hanks offspring we’ve seen the most of is Colin, who basically just looks like a younger, taller version of his father. However there’s also Chester M. Hanks, who now tends to go by the name Chet Haze, which makes him sounds like a porn star, but it actually his rapper/musician name.

Over the weekend he posted some shirtless shots of himself on Twitter, and may we just say we’re impressed. Whoever thought something that hot would have sprung from the Hanks household. However, if you’re hoping he bats for our team, you’re out of luck, as he felt the need to clear things up, tweeting ‘Yo, Shout out to ALL my fans– both straight and gay… #humbled but just so you know I’m straight lmao ok ThankYou’.

Watch The Oscar Animated Short Winner The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

February 28, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s not often a movie wins an Oscar and the next day you can watch the entire thing online for free, but you can with the winner of this year’s Animated Short category, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. The film managed to beat Pixar’s much-praised La Luna, so if you’d like to see why, you can take a look. It would seem though that the movie’s visual style was Pixar inspired, and it is a lot of fun.

Movie: The Movie Trailer – Jimmy Kimmel’s star-studded parody

February 28, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Jimmy Kimmel sure has a knack for getting the creme de la creme of Hollywood to take part in skits for his US talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and he’s outdone himself with his new Oscar special, a nine-minute trailer parody featuring just about everybody you can imagine. Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Gabourey Sidibe, Antonio Banderas and Ed Norton are just a few off the almost A-Z of Hollywood cast of this great parody. Take a look and prepare to be impressed by the sheer star power or nothing else.

Daniel Radcliffe Debuts A PSA For The Trevor Project

February 24, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Having known a lot of gay people all his life, Harry Potter (who for some reason now insists on being called Daniel Radcliffe) has always been pro-gay, and in the last few year has become one of the most vocal straight allies of the gay community, being active with various LGBT organisations that try to make an difference in the lives of lesbian & gay people.

He’s now made a Public Service Announcement for The Trevor Project, a crisis intervention and suicide prevention service for LGBT and questioning youth, which Radcliffe has supported for the last three years. The PSA debuted after an episode of Glee in the US, which focused on the attempted suicide of one of the characters who is dealing with their sexuality.

Radcliffe has said that working with The Trevor Project has taught him the importance of being a straight ally. “‘When we let someone know that we accept them for who they are and that we are safe to talk to, we can help save lives. It’s as simple as that,” he says.

Take a look at the 30 second PSA above.

Did Zac Efron Drop A Condom On The Red Carpet?

February 24, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

We’re all for playing safe at BGPS, but if you’re gonna carry a condom around with you, it’s probably best not to have it loose in you pocket. A lot of people are saying Zac Efron has learned the perils of unsecured condoms at the premiere on his latest movie, The Lorax.

While the evidence in the video above is ambiguous, his giggly, embarrassed reaction suggests he did indeed drop a condom on the red carpet. Some have been asking why he was taking a condom to the premiere of a kid’s flick, but this is Zac Efron we’re talking about, a man who could pull at the top of Everest, so it’s probably a good idea for him to keep a ‘just in case’ rubber on him at all times!

Efron voices the main human character in the animated movie The Lorax, which is released in the US on March 2nd, but doesn’t come to the UK until July.

Take a look at the video above and see if you think it was a condom he dropped.

LEGO Top Ten Movie Moments

February 23, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

While a lot of companies have been pretty sniffy about new media, afraid of the preceived lack of control it gives them over their products, however Lego has embraced the fact people love making stop-motion Lego movies. Now the company has got 17-year-old A-Level student Harry Bossert to recreate the UK’s favourite movie moments in brick, ranging from Indiana Jones to ET. Currently studying drama at the Brit School, Bossert has been producing LEGO videos since 2007 after seeing a LEGO video on YouTube. His so called ‘brickfilms’ are a big hit on the video-sharing website and his version of Parry Gripp’s Megaphone was shown at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in California last year. Take a look at his take on great movie moments below
