Jeremy Jordan is an actor and singer, known for the likes of The Last Five Years and Joyful Noise, as well as TV’s Smash and most recently Supergirl (where he plays Winn Schott). However, he’s currently dealing with a large amount of family drama, as he’s launched a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a lawyer to help get his cousin out of what he says is a ‘pray the gay away’ ex-gay facility.
He writes: ‘Meet my cousin Sarah. At 17, her future looks bright. She is in the top 10% of her class, runs cross-country and belongs to the National Honor Society and the debate team. She is also gay. Like any high school kids in a relationship, Sarah and her girlfriend wanted to go to prom together. But when they did that, Sarah’s parents, who believe that homosexuality is a sin and abnormal, sent Sarah away against her will to an East Texas Christian boarding facility for troubled teens to “pray away the gay.”
A few days ago, shortly after the release of a new trailer for Pixar’s Finding Dory, the internet erupted into excitement at the idea it might feature the animation studio’s first gay couple. The reason was that the promo included a shot that featured a child with two women. We chose not to report on it, as the evidence seemed pretty thin – after all, there was no evidence the women were a couple, and it’s unlikely anyone would have jumped to the assumption if one of the women didn’t have short hair and a duffel coat.

They’ll also be hoping it wasn’t a mistake to have director David Yates doing post-production on both this film and Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them at the same time, with the movies hitting cinemas only fourth months apart.
It’s all change for Pacific Rim 2. Guillermo Del Toro has stepped away and will no longer write or direct, and it’s expected most of the cast will change. However, Legendary has started piecing together who will star, with the studio announcing that Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ John Boyega is set to take the lead role.
For several years there’s been talk of a continuation of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise, with a new set of female thieves being drafted in. While it got trapped in pre-production (not least due to producer Jerry Weintraub’s death), it’s now moving forward again, with 
Shooting on Transformers: The Last Knight is kicking off just about now, but it appears there’s still some room in the cast, as the official Transformers Twitter account has tweeted that they’ve added a real Knight, Sir Anthony Hopkins. However, what they haven’t said it what the Welsh Oscar-winner will be doing in them movie.
As with other planned new adaptations of Stephen King novels, such as The Dark Tower and The Stand, a film based on his classic ‘It’ has had a rather on-again, off-again history. Now though it’s back on again, but it’s a different incarnation from the two-part one being planned in 2015 with Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) directing and Will Poulter as the evil Pennywise the Clown.
