Back in January, the first episode of Out 100 honoree Ben Baur and Thandi Tolmay’s fun web series Adulting arrived, followed by another in April. At that point they were also crowdfunding to make more episodes, and so after a successful Kickstarter, four more instalments have arrived to complete the first season.
The first episode saw Baur’s Max and Tolmay’s Faye realising that with their 30s arriving soon, they may actually have to grow up, while the second centred on Max trying to save Faye from a date that was going horribly wrong.
The new episodes see Max getting more than he bargained for (and a hunky guy to oil up) when he becomes a photography assistant; a bottle of wine helping derail an attempt by the main duo to sort their lives out; the firends dealing with the very personal attention of a yoga instructor; and finally, while things start looking up on the career front a few faces from Faye and Max’s past re-emerge. Alongside Baur and Tolmay, the likes of Drew Droege, David Del Rio (Grease: Live, Pitch Perfect), youtuber RJ Aguiar, lend their talents.
With plenty of humour, a bit of silliness and a few serious point to make, the new episodes are well worth a look. Watch the new instalment below and find out more about the show and its creators over at Adulting’s official website: hashtagadultingseries.com. [Read more…]
