Jennifer Aniston obviously didn’t have enough of fake relationships in Just Go With It, as she’s having another one in We’re The Millers. Now the first pictures from the movie have arrived, featuring Aniston alongside Jason Sudeikis, and Emma Roberts.

David Burke (Sudeikis) a drug dealer with a problem. In order to pay off a debt to his supplier (Ed Helms), David is forced to try and smuggle a shipment of marijuana from Mexico to the United States. He devises a scheme to create a fake family known as the Millers. Emma Roberts Joins We’re The Millers

July 16, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The pot smuggling comedy We’re The Millers has a new cast member, as Emma Roberts has signed to star opposite the already cast Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter, according to Deadline.

n the film Jason Sudeikis will play a pot dealer who hires a fake wife (Jennifer Aniston) and two kids so that he can smuggle 1000 pounds of weed cross country in his RV. Just to add a tad more interest, Aniston’s fake wife is actually a hooker, while the two kids are juvenile delinquents. Roberts will play one of these kids, Julia, who’s a 20-year-old runaway with a bad attitude.

The likes of like Ed Helms and Kathryn Hahn have also signed on for small roles. Dodgeball helmer Rawson Marshall Thurber is set to direct, with production set to start later this month.

June 27, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The director of Ice Age, Chris Wedge, is heading in a much warmer direction with the luscious looking CG-animated movie Epic. The first trailer for the movie has now hit, which shows off its intricate forest setting and great looking visuals. Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the woods between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world…and ours. The voice cast includes Beyonce Knowles, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Jason Sudeikis and Johnny Knoxville. It’s due out May, 2013.

Will Poulter Joins Sudeikis & Aniston In We’re The Millers

June 26, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

He may only be 19 years old, but thanks to the likes of Son Of Rambow, Voyage Of The Dawn Treader and Wild Bill Will Poulter has already had quite a career. Now Deadline reports he’s heading to the States for We’re The Millers, from Dodgeball helmer Rawson Marshall Thurber.

In the film Jason Sudeikis will play a pot dealer who hires a fake wife (Jennifer Aniston) and two kids so that he can smuggle 1000 pounds of weed cross country in his RV. Just to add a tad more interest, Aniston’s fake wife is actually a hooker, while the two kids are juvenile delinquents.

There no info on exactly who Poulter will be, although there’s a decent chance he’ll be one of the fake sons.

Beyonce, Josh Hutcherson & Colin Farrell Get Epic

June 1, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios have had a good run with the likes of the Ice Age films, Horton Hears A Who and Rio, and now they’re hoping to continue that with Epic.

They seem to be hoping that a big name cast will help the animated flick, as Colin Farrell, Beyoncé Knowles, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Judah Friedlander and Steven Tyler all all onboard the movie.

Epic is about an ongoing battle that takes place deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teenage girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world…and ours.

It’s unlikely to be as easy a sell as most of Blue Sky’s earlier film, which may be why they’re so keen on a well-known cast. Ice Age and Robots helmer Chris Wedge will direct, with a 2014 release scheduled.

Jennifer Aniston & Jason Sudeikis Reuniting For We’re the Millers

April 10, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Jennifer Aniston & Jason Sudeikis seem to like being in the same movies, even if they didn’t get a a lot of screen time together in either Horrible Bosses or The Bounty Hunter. Now they’re setting out to change that, as they’re both in talks for the lead roles in We’re the Millers, which will give them plenty of time to spar off one another.

You’d have thought Aniston would steer clear of this one, just because the plot sounds oddly like a more grown up take on last year’s Just Go With It. In We’re The Millers, Jason Sudeikis will play a pot dealer who hires a fake wife (Aniston) and two kids so that he can smuggle 1000 pounds of weed cross country in his RV. Just to add a tad more interest, Aniston’s fake wife is actually a hooker, while the two kids will be juvenile delinquents.

Rawson Marshall Thurber, best known for Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, will direct, with the shoot taking place later this year for a summer 2013 release. (Source: Deadline)

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Get Relanxious

March 14, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Olivia Wilde seems to be in a ridiculous amount of movies, even if few of them have found much box office success (Cowboys Vs. Aliens, In Time etc.). Now she’s got another one, as Deadline says Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Brie Larson, and Fred Armisen have joined the cast of Relanxious.

The story centres on Barrett (Wilde), a woman riddled with anxiety, who meets and falls for the agoraphobic George (Jason Sudeikis). Because of both their phobias, Barrett and George spend most of their time speaking on the phone, until they finally decide to conquer their fears and be with one another. Brie Larson will play Barrett’s sister, and Fred Armisen will play George’s friend, the only person he has contact with from the outside world.

Christopher Storer will make his directorial debut with Relanxious, working from his own screenplay. Shooting is scheduled for this summer in Chicago.

Prepare Yourself For Horrible Bosses 2

January 5, 2012 By Movie Muser Leave a Comment

Horrible Bosses took $209 million worldwide and only cost $35 million to make, so it’s not that surprising that New Line wants a follow-up. That sequel is now moving forwards, as THR reports that original writers John Francis Daley (aka Dr. Sweets from TV’s Bones) and Jonathan M. Goldstein have signed deals to write the sequel, with stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis all expected to return.

The studio is also in talks with director Seth Gordon to helm the follow-up. The first film followed three friends (Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis) who are all sick of being mistreated by their bosses, and band together to kill their employers, one by one. There’s no news on the story for the sequel, although let’s hope the guys don’t just get a bunch of new asshole bosses who need killing.

It isn’t known when New Line is aiming to get this sequel into production, but it seems that all of the pieces are falling into place.

John Lithgow Up For Dog Fight

November 24, 2011 By Movie Muser Leave a Comment

Adding John Lithgow to a film’s cast is nearly always a good move, and that’s probably going to bes true of the political comedy Dog Fight, which Variety reports Lithgow has signed up to star in, although no details have been given as to what character he’ll be playing.

The movie is about two political rivals (Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis) who are competing for a Congressional seat in a small North Carolina district. Jason Sudeikis, Sarah Baker, Brian Cox, and Dylan McDermott also star.

Jay Roach is directing Dog Fight from a screenplay by Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy. Ferrell and Galifianakis are producing alongside Adam McKay. And they’d better start filming soon, as Warner Bros. already has the comedy slated for release on August 10, 2012, ahead of the US election in the autumn.
