Nick Robinson impressed many with his role in this year’s indie flick Kings of Summer. Indeed, he seems to have impressed Universal as he’s signed on for a leading role in Jurassic World, according to Variety.
Just yesterday Iron Man 3 and Insidious Chapter 2 star Ty Simpkins joined the cast in another major role. Nick Robinson is slated to play Ty Simpkins’ older brother, although no further character details have been given. Bryce Dallas Howard is also in talks to star.
While story details are being kept secret, the movie is believed to take place on Isla Nublar from the original Jurassic Park. Its now become a fully operational theme park, with millions coming from around the world to see real-life dinosaurs.
Colin Trevorrow is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed), based on an earlier draft provided by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).It’s due in cinemas on June 12th, 2015.
