Ophelia Lovibond (Mr. Popper’s Penguin, 4.3.2.1.) is the latest actor to enter talks to join the cast of the upcoming Marvel stand-alone adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy, according to THR.
Not much is known about her character apart from the fact that she will be playing a henchman to The Collector, who is one of the Elders of the Universe that the Guardians encounter in the sci-fi adventure. It’s not clear if this is a major supporting role, or whether it’ll just be a brief appearance.
Lovibond joins Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Michael Rooker as Yondu and Zoe Saldana, who is in talks for Gamora. Guardians of the Galaxy will start shooting in June in the UK with James Gunn directing, and will be in cinemas summer 2014.
