Ever since we first saw him in the British Queer As Folk, Charlie Hunnam hasn’t been afraid to show a bit of skin. While we have to mourn the fact that we won’t be seeing a lot of his skin in 50 Shades Of Grey, as he walked away from the movie, he has given us a little treat by getting shirtless in a video while doing doing a photoshootfor Men’s Health.

I’m not 100% sure Hunnam has ever lifted a bale of straw before in his life, but he certainly looks good doing it.

Unfortunately you do have to put up with Entertainment Tonight’s rather hyperbolic style when watching the vid, so we’d recommend switching the sound off and just enjoying the Hunnam-ness.

When I was at University it was the men’s hockey club that had a reputation for never being able to keep their clothes on (there was always the slight impression they felt they had something to prove, and so were constantly trying to outdo the rugby club in general ‘manly’ debauchery).

However it seems that nowadays it rowing clubs that like to strip, and unlike in my day, they’re not just doing in a bar after copious amounts of alcohol – they’re letting the whole world see. The University Of Warwick Rowing Club has become famous all across the world for their men’s naked calendar (you can get a taste for the 2015 edition here).

They’re not the only ones though, as the Newcastle University Boat Club has gotten in on the act – and they’ve got calendars for both their men’s and women’s team. They’ve released a great little teaser for their men’s naked charity calendar (with a wonderfully overblown score), which you can watch below, along with a few images.

Sex sells, or at least that’s what 24-year-old Lithuanian filmmaker Romas Zabarauskas is hoping, as he’s decided that for his Kickstarter, offering scripts and signed DVDs isn’t enough. Nope, instead he’s promised that anyone donating more than $50 to his film, You Can’t Escape Lithuania, will get a nude photograph.

And as he’s a rather good-looking young man, we’re sure he’ll have plenty of success finding backers.

As for the film itself, you can take a look at the funding video below. The plot is ‘about a fictional version of Romas Zabarauskas, a gay filmmaker from Lithuania. Romas helps a good friend, an actress, Indre, to escape Lithuania after she murders her mother and steals her money. Romas also takes his hot Mexican boyfriend Carlos along for the ride. On the road, Romas gives Indre an ultimatum: if she doesn’t agree to perform in one last experimental film, he will turn her over to the police…’

Zabarauskas suggests the film is inspired by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Douglas Sirk and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. He also notes that the fact it’s set in Lithuania is important, as like many other Eastern European countries it’s dealing with increasing homophobia and also has a new law banning ‘gay propaganda’, much like the one in Russian that has been condemned by many.

The director’s previous films Porno Melodrama and We Will Riot, tackled the subjects of homophobia, neo-nationalism and corruption, and have screened at numerous film festivals.

Zabarauskas is hoping to raise $20,000 through his Kickstarter. Now he just needs to convince his co-star in the film, Adrian Escobar (pictured below) who’ll play the Mexican boyfriend, to also offer a nude pic and he’s sure to hit his target and then some! [Read more…]

It’s that time of year again when the Warwick Rowers – who have perhaps done more than anyone else in promoting the cause of calendars featuring tastefully photographed naked young men (and we thanks them very much for that) – release their latest goodies.

And this year to help with the launch, there’s also a video, showing us a bit of the history of what started as an effort to raise money for the University Of Warwick Rowing Club, which was nearly broke. It has since grown into a massive charity effort, including the launch of Sport Allies, which challenges homophobia through sport, and raising over £200,000 for good causes.

Well, you learn something new every day. I’d always assumed Spanish soccer players wore clothes when they played with their balls, but it turns out they do it naked. Or at least that’s what I will always picture in my mind after seeing these pics of some Iberian sportsman getting naked for a calendar designed to help raise money for their sports club.

We can certainly think of worse ways of getting money.

Whether it’s hanging out in the dugout, on the pitch or even in need of some medical attention, I’m certainly more of a fan of soccer when the only clothing is socks and boots.
