Stephen Amell has spoken before about being a bit of a Ninja Warrior fan. But how would he do if he had to take on the course himself? On screen as Arrow he’s an action master, but is that just camera tricks and stunt people?
Well, for the US version of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day, Amell is taking on the course, and a sneak peek of him has been released. And for those of you worrying he’d be all muscles and no skill, the man does good – at least as far as we get to see.

While doing the promotional rounds for Suicide Squad, stories emerged about about Aussie actor Jai Courtney stripping butt naked and chasing the director around the set as a joke. Sadly though, nobody released any footage so we’d know exactly what that looked like.
Netflix is busy trying to show it can be a big player in the movie world, releasing an increasing number of films on the streaming platform with well-known names and decent budgets. It’s easy to forget that only four years ago, Henry Cavill was just a guy who’d played supporting roles in The Tudors and Immortals, and whose first major lead role – opposite Bruce Willis in the underwhelming The Cold Light of Day – was yet to be released. There are certainly people in Hollywood who must have a painting of themselves growing older in their attics, as they never seem to age. That includes Ryan Phillippe, who’s looking pretty much the same now as he did 20 years ago in the likes of I Know What You Did Last Summer and Cruel Intentions.
While it would be nice to earn millions of dollars to be a movie superhero, I really don’t think I could physically put in the effort needed to get the physique of the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans of Henry Cavill. Unfortunately thought, Hollywood doesn’t seem to be interested in superhero who look a bit schlubby and gym-shy.
Just a few years ago, no male celebrity seemed capable of taking their shirt off without removing every single hair from their chest and stomach. Now though things have changed, with a bit of natural pectoral hirsuteness being allowed to stay intact.
