Over the weekend, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson married his beau, Justin Mikita, in a ceremony in New York attended by over 200 people. The couple, who’d been dating for over two years, announced their engagement last September and have now officially tied the knot.
Pulitzer Prize winning writer Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Lincoln) officiated, with the likes of Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burell and Eric Stonestreet attending. Also at the ceremony were celebs such as Jerry O’ Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Zachary Quinto and Cat Deely.
Back in March Feguson explained why they were planning the wedding in New York, saying “We wanted to get married in New York, because that’s where it’s legal, so we want to support the state that’s in support of us.”
While we have to admit we’d have preferred it if Ferguson had married Eric Stonestreet – as we don’t think Mitchell should be with anyone but Cam – we’re slowly coming to terms with the fact Stonestreet is actually straight in real life. So good luck to Jesse and Justin, we wish them well!
Comic-Con has seen a slew of posters released, although we’re now coming to an end of those with the release of a rather cool poster for How To Train Your Dragon 2, and one for 300: Rise Of An Empire, featuring the lead character played by Sullivan Stapleton.
The first footage from Edge Of Tomorrow (previously known as All You Need Is Kill) screened at Comic-Con over the weekend, and unfortunately while we don’t have that, we do have two new posters from the movie, showing us Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in the movie. Take a look at them above and below.
When it was announced on Saturday that the Avengers sequel will be called Avengers: Age Of Ultron, many wondered if that meant Henry Pym, aka Ant-Man, would pop up in the movie, being introduced in that film before he gets his own Edgar Wright adventure later the same year.
Last week a sequel to The Conjuring was announced, which suggested Warner Bros had an inkling it would do well. They were right, as the James Wan directed horror movie, which cost just $20 million to make, grossed $41 million in its first three days in cinemas to top the US box office.
One of the surprises of the Marvel Comic-Con panel was the entire cast of Guardian Of The Galaxy coming on stage. It was particularly unexpected as the film has just started shooting in the UK, so Marvel had to get them on a flight to San Diego on Friday evening, put them on stage and then fly them back Saturday night.
