Young Adult fantasy has proved a difficult genre, as while success can be enormous, more often than not they barely make a dent at the box office. However after spending decades trying to get it off the ground, Jeff Bridges will be hoping audiences take to Seventh Son. Now we get our first taste with a trailer and poster.
Here’s the official synopsis: ‘In a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed that will reignite the war between the forces of the supernatural and humankind once more.
‘Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges) is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), centuries ago. But now she has escaped and is seeking vengeance. Summoning her followers of every incarceration, Mother Malkin is preparing to unleash her terrible wrath on an unsuspecting world.
‘Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. In a deadly reunion, Gregory comes face to face with the evil he always feared would someday return. Now he has only until the next full moon to do what normally takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) to fight a dark magic unlike any other.

Johnny Depp’s The Lone Ranger may have flopped at the US box office, but he’s still a big star that pretty much everyone wants to work with. As a result he’s now in talks for Mortdecai, which will reunite him with Secret Window writer/director David Koepp, according to 
George A. Romero’s Dead movies are quite interesting legally, as no one owns the first one (due to a copyright snafu that resulted in it entering the public domain), while the second, third and subsequent movies are owned by different people and treated as completely separate entities rather than a series.
Angelina Jolie is busy setting up her second directorial outing, Unbroken, and now she’s starting to put together the cast, with Skins star Jack O’Connell playing the lead role of Lou Zamperini, according to 
HBO has become a big fan of all things gay in the last few years, such as backing Behind The Candelabra and commissioning a new series about a group of gay friends in San Francisco.
Star Wars: Episode VII isn’t due out until 2015, but it’s never too early to predict how much money it will make. It may seem pointless trying to work out the film’s gross now, but it’s actually quite important to Disney’s share price. With Lone Ranger possibly losing as much as $150 million for the studio, investors want to know whether the studio has a solid line-up for the future.
