Netflix is busy trying to show it can be a big player in the movie world, releasing an increasing number of films on the streaming platform with well-known names and decent budgets. One of the latest is Sand Castle, starring Nicholas Hoult, Henry Cavill and Logan Marshall-Green, which was released a few days ago.
The movie follows Hoult as a young man who only joined the army to get support for college, but ends up in Iraq, trying to protect a small village alongside his fellow soldiers.
Sand Castle isn’t a bad film at all, and includes one particularly diverting scene, where Hoult strips down for a shower. We might not see everything, but he’s certainly looking good from what we do see. Take a look at a few screenshots from the movie below. [Read more…]

When The Force Awakens was released, more than a few people noticed that John Boyega’s Finn and Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron seemed to like each other a lot, to the point where many wondered if the film was suggesting some sort of romance between them. It even got the point where the actors were joking about it and you couldn’t tell if they thought their characters might have a romantic future together or not.

While we’ve had a couple of promos for Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3, they haven’t actually shown us a huge amount of the movie, other than Lightning McQueen have an almighty crash. However a new trailer gives us a far better taste of the upcoming film.
Kingsman was a bigger success than most had expected. It was more than enough to get it a sequel, which will be released later this year. Along with the return of British agents Taron Egerton and Colin Firth (yes, he will return), we will be introduced to the Statesmen, the US version of the Kingsmen.
In the first couple of trailer, the most noticeable thing was how Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson seemed to be in competition as to who could have the body that looked most like it was too muscled for a real human. However, the thing that will be distracting you is this one, is Efron going undercover in drag, and looking like he’s modelled himself on Audrey Hepburn.
Ang Lee’s last film, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, didn’t get the same critical reaction as many of his earlier movie. For his next movie, he’s in talks to go in a rather different direction and a genre he’s never really touched before – sci-fi.
