Magic Mike XXL: Matt Bomer Sings Plus Some Hot New Pics From The Film

magic-mike-xxl-slideI think I officially hate Matt Bomer: great face, dreamy blue eyes, sculpted body, good at acting, cute husband, adorable kids, and now it turns out he’s good at singing voice too. It’s sickening and shouldn’t be allowed, especially as he’s making all the rest of us gays look really bad in comparison!

Bomer is set to show off his singing skills in Magic Mike XXL, and a preview of his version of the song Heaven has been released in a clip that you can watch below.

Alongside that is a selection of new images of Bomer, Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez and the rest of the Magic Mike male stripping crew.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: ‘Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel.  But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them.  On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.’

Magic Mike XXL Gets A Shirtless New Poster

magic-mike-xxl-new-posterI know this will come as a surprise to most of you, but in Magic Mike XXL, Channing Tatum and his cast-mates will be taking their shirts off! To make sure we’re aware of this, following previous shirtless posters and a very shirtless trailer, a new poster has arrived, where once more the poor guys don’t have enough money to afford clothes to cover their nipples.

Take a look at it above (and it has to be said, Matt Bomer is looking really good!).

Magic Mike XXL Trailer – Channing Tatum and the stripper boys are on the road

magic mike-xxl-multiple-character-bannerThe press release for this one warned people to ‘Lock up your daughters’, but there was no mention of sons, and so it looks like gay guys are being given free reign on this one (even if there is sadly a minimal amount of Matt Bomer in this trailer).

Generally though, if you’re upset that men keep their clothes on too much in the movies, Magic Mike XXL is here to help you out, and as this trailer is keen to show, this sequel will have plenty more shirtless, stripper shenanigans, while ramping the sexual suggestiveness up to 11.

What’s still not clear is the exact tone it will have. The first movie certainly had plenty of stripping, but that was placed around a rather dark, dramatic plot. Channing Tatum has given mixed responses to whether the new movie will follow suit, or if it will be more deliberately fun.

We’ll have to wait and see.

Magic Mike XXL Gets A Brief Teaser & Poster, Inspired By Star Wars

magic-mike-xxl-star-wars-posterThe Magic Mike boys decided to get in on the Star Wars day action yesterday with a poster inspired by ones from a galaxy far, far away, but with far more shirtless men bumping and grinding. Alongside that came a brief teaser for the guys’ return – in full boyband style – which you can take a look at below.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘“Magic Mike” stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias are reuniting for the hotly anticipated sequel “Magic Mike XXL”. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film, will executive produce.

Now it seems that was the first of many as today it’s Adam Rodriguez’s turn to show that he’s going back into the world of strippers, as he’s got his own poster too, which you can see above.

CSI: Miami – Season 10 (DVD)

It’s not too long ago that CSI: Miami was the most watched programme in the world. However, while its sister shows CSI: New York and CSI: Vegas continue, the Florida-set series comes to an end with the 19 episodes of Season 10.

It’s pretty much business as usual, with Lt. Horatio Cane (David Caruso) once more investigating Miami murder, as well as being very indecisive over whether he needs to wear sunglasses or not. Crimes range from the murder of a male escort found in a hotel cabana to the Twilight inspired killing of the housemaid of a young adult novelist. As the makers of CSI: Miami knew the show was going to end, there’s also time to wrap up a few on-going threads, such as the return of Horatio’s nemeses, the Mala Noche gang, as well as ensuring a serial killer who gets away early in the season can come under the CSI’s lens again before the season ends. About Last Night – Red Band Trailer

David Mamet’s play Sexual Perversity In Chicago, which got a loose adaptation as About Last Night – starring Rob Lowe and Demi Moore – in 1986. Now it’s coming back with a largely African-American do-over, although it’s been suggested that this About Last Night will be closer to Mamet’s original.

Leslye Headland’s script follows two couples, one of whom seem perfectly suited for one another, but things go horribly wrong when they move in together. The other two are the squabbling best friends of the other couple who form their own bond. Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Kevin Hart, Regina Hall and Adam Rodriguez star.

We’re getting this trailer very early, as apparently it’s not hitting US cinemas for a full year (and no UK date is set yet).

Magic Mike’s Adam Rodriguez Joins About Last Night Remake

Now that CSI: Miami has bee cancelled, Adam Rodriguez has more spare time on his hands, and it seems that after his success in Magic Mike, he’s hoping to fill it with movie roles. He’s now got a new one, as he’s joined the cast of the remake of the Rob Lowe & Demi Moore film About Last Night, which recently started shooting under the direction of Hot Tub Time Machine’s Steve Pink.

The story is being changed and performed with a largely black cast, including Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Kevin Hart and Regina Hall. Variety says Rodriguez will play the role of Bryant’s former lover and colleague. Leslye Headland’s script follows a Los Angeles couple who decide to move in together only to have the entire situation blow up in their faces and end in a split.

The remake is said to be more closely based on David Mamet’s play “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” which was also the basis of Ed Zwick’s 1980’s movie, but which became more of an straightforward comedy in the previous film.

Lionsgate has released a huge array of new pics from their upcoming male stripper flick Magic Mike, which stars the likes of Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer and Adam Rodriguez. It’s out in the UK on July 11th, and we here at BGPS are extremely excited because we’re going to see it on Monday and will give you our thoughts as soon as we’re allowed!

Channing Tatum Gets His Stripper On In New Magic Mike Pics

A couple of new images have emerged from Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming Magic Mike. While the film has a plot, about a new up and comer (Alex Pettyfer) being mentored by an old hand (Channing Tatum), nobody cares about that. Nope, the only thing anyone is interested in (or at least gay men and straight women are interested in), is that Tatum, Pettyfer, Mathew Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, Adam Rodriguez and more all play male strippers in the film! It’s even looseply based on Tatum’s real-life experiences as a young man paid to take his togs off.

A few images have been released previously, which you can see here and here, but enjoy the new ones above and below (and click on them for larger versions)! The film hits UK cinemas on July 21st.
