Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer – The action gets epic for Tom Hardy

March 31, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Mad-Max-Fury-Road-Main-PosterAfter years of waiting – both while it was in development and since it finally shot in 2013 – Mad Max: Fury Road is nearly here and will arrive in UK cinemas on May 14th, with Tom Hardy taking over from Mel Gibson in the title role.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” revisits his own post-apocalyptic trilogy featuring the anti-hero known as Mad Max. Tom Hardy stars in the role of Max Rockatansky, alongside Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Hugh Keays-Byrne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Miller directed from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers. “Mad Max: Fury Road” is a Kennedy Miller Mitchell production. The film will be presented by Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures.

‘Scheduled for release on May 15, 2015, it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.’ [Read more…]

Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer – Tom Hardy takes on the Road Warrior and it’s looking good

December 10, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

mad-max-fury-road-pic1Few films have taken as long to get to the screen as Mad Max: Fury Road, or seemingly been so unlucky. Indeed at one point several years ago the movie was fully cast and ready to go, and then a massive storm in Australia destroyed the set and the whole thing was delayed by a year and moved to Australia.

Even after it finally went in front on the lens in late 2012 they’ve been keeping us waiting, as it’s not due in UK cinemas until May 15 2015. However to get us in the mood a truly explosive new trailer has arrived, which suggests this is going to be a movie that’s really, really big on action.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘From Oscar-winning director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.

‘Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

‘Miller directed from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.’ [Read more…]

Mad Max: Fury Road Comic Con Trailer – Tom Hardy gets apocalyptic in the awesome first footage

July 27, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

mad-max-fury-road-character-poster1-slideThis year there have been fewer trailer than usual that first screened at Comic Con and were shortly afterwards available online. However now we have a doozy, as the Comic Con trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road has been released, and it looks pretty awesome.

We still have to wait until May next year to see it, but it’s starting to seem like the ridiculously long wait we’ve had for the movie (it shot in 2012) will be worth it. Take a look at the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

‘Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.

‘And… Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.’

And if the trailer isn’t enough, take a look at the character posters we posted earlier today. [Read more…]

Tom Hardy Is Looking Hot As Mad Max Fury Road Character Posters Debut

July 27, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

mad-max-fury-road-character-poster1Mad Max Fury Road is finally set to arrive in cinemas May 2015 after a ridiculously long time in development and almost three years after it was actually filmed. To help get the excitement building the film has made it presence felt at Comic Con, and that includes releasing the rather cool posters you can see above and below.

They feature Tom Hardy as the titular Max, Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa, Hugh Keays-Bynre as Immortal Joe and an almost unrecognisable Nicholas Hoult as Nux.

Tom Hardy & Charlize Theron Get A Mad Max Fury Road EW Cover

June 25, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

mad-max-fury-road-ew-coverAfter decades in the works, followed by more delays, casting changing, a storm that destroyed the sets and moved the shoot from Australia to South Africa and various other issues, Mad Max Fury Road finally started shooting at the end of 2012.

Despite that, the release is still almost a year away! It had better be good when it finally arrives.

Despite the fact it’s been in the can for a long time, we’ve hardly seen anything from the movie. But to show us it hasn’t been completely forgotten, as great shot of Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron for the movie has popped up on the cover of EW, which you can see above.

Director George Miller previously told /Film of the movie, ‘Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.’

Early test screenings have already taken place, and the response has reportedly been good. However most of us will have to wait until May 2015 to see it.

New A Million Ways To Die In The West Red Band Trailer – Liam Neeson has shadow sex with Seth MacFarlane

May 7, 2014 By Tim Isaac 1 Comment

When Seth MacFarlane called his new movie A Million Ways To Die In The West, this trailer suggests he wasn’t joking. Indeed on this evidence it’s difficult to see how anyone survived more than a few minutes back then.

It’s also just a juvenile and silly as you’d expect from the creator of Family Guy (and we don’t mean juvenile in a pejorative sense).

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.

‘Starring alongside MacFarlane are Oscar® winner Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris. MacFarlane reunites many of the filmmakers behind Universal and MRC’s hit film Ted including Scott Stuber (Bluegrass Films) and Jason Clark who produce, and Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin who co-wrote the script.’

The films due out on May 30th. [Read more…]

Dakota Fanning & Charlize Theron Team For Brain on Fire

May 2, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

charlize-theronCharlize Theron and Dakota Fanning  are teaming up for an adaption of the non-fiction novel, Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, by Susannah Cahalan, according to Deadline.

The 2012 book chronicles the ‘a young woman’s terrifying descent into madness’. Fanning will play a 24-year-old reporter for the New York Post who suddenly became psychotic and violent. This led her to being hospitalised, although doctors couldn’t work out exactly what was going on and were ready to commit her to a psychiatric clinic.

Then Dr. Souhel Najjar came in to look at her. After he asked her to draw a simple sketch, it helped him diagnose her with a new auto-immune disease which had caused her body to attack her brain. Many believe this illness may have been the cause of many cases of supposed demonic possessions throughout history.

Theron has optioned the book herself via her Denver & Delilah production company. No studio is currently attached. Indeed it’s very early days as there’s no writer or director involved at this time either.

Charlize Theron Wants Everything Nice In A New Movie

March 10, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

charlize-theronCharlize Theron has booked herself a new role as Deadline reports that she’s attached to star in a movie based on Ellen Sherman’s novel Everything Nice. Universal has snapped up rights, and the search is now on for a screenwriter.

Theron should play ‘Michaela, an advertising exec who gets fired and takes on the only job she can get, teaching life skills to teenage girls at a public school. Lacking in the basic social skills herself, she tries her best to school her pupils in what they’ll need to know in order to survive.’

It’s not clear when the movie will shoot. Charlize will new be seen in Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways To Die In The West.

Seth MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson & Some Sheep Get A New A Million Ways To Die In The West Poster

February 28, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

million-ways-to-die-in-the-west-poster9
In the last 20 years, westerns have always been a hit and miss for Hollywood and they’ve had particular problems with comedy westerns. However Universal will be hoping that Seth MacFarlane can overcome that with A Million Ways To Die In The West. After all, many thought an R-rated comedy about a talking teddy sounded like a disaster until Ted became a massive hit.

Now a new poster has arrived, showing us MacFarlane alongside Liam Neeson and Charlize Theron.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. The film’s due out on May 30th.

A Million Ways To Die In The West Red Band Trailer – Take your first look at Seth MacFarlane’s western comedy

January 31, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Yesterday we posted an octet of character posters for Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways To Die In The West, and now comes the red band trailer, which suggests this will be just as anarchic and rude as you’d expect from the creator of Family Guy. However it might be a lot more violent that you might have thought.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West.
