Iron Man 3 Pepper Potts Character Poster Arrives

February 25, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

iron-man-3-pepper-potts-character-posterOver the past couple of weeks, the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley have all gotten their own Iron Man 3 character posters. Now it’s the turn of Gwyneth Paltrow, who’s returning as Pepper Potts.

I’m sure the image above is meant to show her tenderly cradling a damaged Iron Man mask, as she worries about Tony Stark. However it does slightly look like she’s ripped his head off. Who knows, perhaps she turns evil in the movie!

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test hismettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his owndevices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest tohim. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?’

It hits UK cinemas April 26th. (Image via Empire)

New Pics: Wolverine, Iron Man 3 & Man Of Steel

January 11, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

wolverine-ew-pic1Entertainment Weekly is having a bit of a summer preview in its print issue, so Filmthrasher has kindly scanned in some of the new image from some of this year’s biggest upcoming movies, including Iron Man 3, The Wolverine and Man Of Steel.

The Wolverine pic shows off the mutant in Japan, and he’s looking angry, although there’s not too much more we can tell from the pic than that. In the Iron Man 3 image we’re presuming Pepper Potts is just hugging Tony in his suit, and its not some sort of bizarre role play sex scene. The Man Of Steel pic meanwhile expands of the recent poster, with Superman for some reason in hadncuffs.

All three movies hit cinemas between May and July.

Iron Man 3 Trailer Tease – Get your first look at the upcoming film

October 22, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It may only be 17 seconds long, but this tease gives us our first look at footage from next year’s Iron Man 3, ahead of the release of a full trailer on Tuesday. It’s all a bit blink and you’ll miss it, but it seems Pepper Potts is in a bit of bother and there’s also a brief look at Ben Kingsley as the devious Mandarin. Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot more when the full trailer arrives tomorrow.

First Iron Man 3 Official Synopsis Arrives

October 19, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

A few days ago we got the first synopsis for Thor: The Dark World, but even though Iron Man 3 will arrive in cinemas before that film, there hasn’t been a huge amount of info about what Tony Stark will be up to. Now Marvel has revealed a trailer and poster are set to debut next week, and they’re also released the first official synopsis. It seems they’re still trying to keep some mystery though, as it’s a tad vague.

Here is it: ‘Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

‘Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with The Invincible Iron Man (#1) in May of 1968.’

The movie hits cinemas April 26th 2013.

Gwyneth Paltrow Goes Foodie In Blood, Bones & Butter

July 19, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Gwyneth Paltrow sure loves food. She’s written a cookbook and made TV series were she travels around learning about different regions’ cuisine. Now THR reports that she’s planning to star in and produce Blood, Bones & Butter, a film based on Gabrielle Hamilton’s food memoir.

The book is about Hamilton’s unconventional background, as she is the youngest of five children born to a French mother and an artist father who made the sets for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. This eventually led her on an unusual course to becoming a chef. She is now the owner and chef of New York’s Prune restaurant also is a trained writer with an MFA from the University of Michigan.

Paltrow wants to take on this tale, with her and fellow producers currently looking for writers to take on the script.

Ryan Murphy Planning Star-Studded Musical One Hit Wonders

February 29, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Ryan Murphy has plenty of experience with musical comedy as the creator of Glee, and now he’s joining forces with Sony Pictures for a musical called One Hit Wonders, which Deadline reports has Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Beyoncé Knowles, and Andy Samberg attached to star.

The film is about three singers (Paltrow, Witherspoon, and Diaz), who each had hit singles in the 1990s, although their careers fizzled shortly thereafter. They decide to jump-start their careers once more by combining to form a super group. No character details were given for Beyoncé Knowles and Andy Samberg’s parts, although Samberg will be involved in generating the music for the movie with his Lonely Island cohorts.

Ryan Murphy will direct One Hit Wonders from a script he is co-writing with his Glee collaborators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Murphy wants to start production on One Hit Wonders after he wraps on his next project, The Normal Heart, which is due to shoot this spring.
