Sean Paul Lockhart has made a bit of a name for himself as an actor and producer in gay-themed movies, but as many will know, before he went legit he was porn star Brent Corrigan, who for a time was the hottest gay adult actor around, known for his boy next door looks and, erm, impressive endowment.
However what fewer know is that during his career he unwittingly became central to a murder, when porn actors Harlow Raymond Cuadra and Joseph Manuel Kerekes savagely killed porn producer and head of Cobra Video, Bryan Kocis. They thought by doing so they’d be able to make it big behind-the-scenes of the porn world, and lure Brent Corrigan to work for them in order to make a massively successful movie. Lockhart had got his start with Cobra Video, although it was later revealed he was underage in his first videos. He was later involved in a legal dispute with Kocis over the name Brent Corrigan (however there was never any suggestion he was involved in the murder).
Now a film about the case is in the works, called King Cobra, with QueerClick reporting that James Franco (who else) is set to produce, with Chrisian Slater playing Kocis. Molly Ringwald has also been cast, apparently playing Kocis’ sister Melody.
It’s not clear what actors will step into the roles of Cuadra and Kerekes, but the movie has founds its Brent Corrigan in the very hot form of former Disney Channel star Garrett Clayton (Teen Beach Movie, The Fosters).
It appears Franco will also appear in the movie, but it’s not clear what role he will play. It will also reunite him with his I Am Michael director, Justin Kelly.
