Out To Kill (US DVD Review)

December 7, 2014 By Tim Isaac 3 Comments

Starring: Scott Sell, Rob Moretti, Tom Goss, Mark Strano
Director: Rob Williams
Running Time: 83 mins
Certificate: NR
Release Date: December 9th 2014 (US)

I have to admit that for about 20-minutes I didn’t hold out any hope for Out To Kill. It starts out following Justin (singer/songwriter/actor Tom Goss), who lives in an apartment complex full of gay people and believes he’s just about the best thing that’s ever happened to the planet. He’s the type of guy who thinks looking good is all that matters, treats nearly everyone else with disdain, and just about everything he says is a sexual come-on.

It appears he’s going to be the lead character – and an intensely annoying one he’d be as well. Therefore it almost comes as a relief when he’s found dead in the communal swimming pool (that sounds like I’m being nasty, but if you watch the movie you’ll know what I mean). The police are quick to blame the death on a drug overdose, but Justin’s friend, Gene (Rob Moretti), thinks it was murder. He hires new resident and private eye Jim (Scott Sell) to investigate. Starring: Sean Paul Lockhart, Rob Moretti
Director: Rob Moretti
Running Time: 94 mins
Certificate: NR
Release Date: January 10th 2014, May 26th 2014 (UK DVD)

Caleb (Sean Paul Lockhart) is a young man trying to put a very difficult upbringing behind him. His mother spent his childhood abusing him and calling him a ‘pussy’ and ‘fag’, before she abandoned him and ended up being institutionalised due to her mental health issues.

Caleb meets Jeremy (Rob Moretti) on the internet, and despite his uncertainty, the two have soon fallen head over heels for one another. Caleb is reluctant to trust anyone, feeling everyone he’s ever cared about has ended up abandoning him, but slowly he allows Jeremy in, who is keen to tell Caleb he will always be there for him. However when Caleb discovers Jeremy has been keeping major secrets, things soon unravel in very dangerous ways – indeed we know from very early on in the movie that Caleb has been locked up and something very serious has happened between him and Jeremy. Truth Trailer – Sean Paul Lockhart stars in a new gay-themed psychological thriller

October 14, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Sean Paul Lockhart is making a successful transition from gay porn to gay films (with some dancing in his underwear for Andrew Christian thrown in), thanks to movies such as Judas Kissed and Triple Crossed. Now we’ve got the trailer for another new movie starring Lockhart, Truth, which also features Blanche Baker (Sixteen Candles, Raw Deal) and Rob Moretti (Crutch, An Affirmative Act, Snapshot), who also directs.

After a chance encounter over the Internet, Caleb (Lockhart) meets and falls head over heels for Jeremy (Moretti) and soon the line between love and lies blur. Struggling to keep his past a secret, including his mentally ill mother, Caleb slowly succumbs to his darker side. A sudden turn of events finds Jeremy held captive, until Caleb’s quest for the truth be revealed.

The movie is currently screening at festivals, following its premiere at Philadelphia QFest. A US DVD release is planned for next February. [Read more…]
