October 22, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

daddy's-home-poster-slideMark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell had a big success with The Other Guys, and ever since them they’ve been looking at projects that would reunite them. Now one is on its way in the form of Daddy’s Home, which has just released a new trailer.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘DADDY’S HOME follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.’

Horrible Bosses 2 Trailer – Jason Bateman, Charlie Day & Jason Sudeikis try to be bosses themselves

July 2, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

horrible-bosses-2-pic1After Horrible Bosses became a hit, it didn’t take long for a sequel to be put into the works. It’s taken a couple of year for it to come to fruition, but now it’s on its way and the trailer has arrived, which you can watch below.

Christoph Waltz & Chris Pine May Be Horrible Bosses In The Sequel

October 11, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

chris-pine-out-magazine2-slide
Ever since the first film became a hit, Horrible Bosses 2 has been in the works. However it’s only now that it’s fully coming together with some new names in the mix as nasty bosses. Deadline reports being courted to play a nasty father-son boss pair who make life difficult for returning stars Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, and Charlie Day.

While the filmmakers want both of them, Waltz is probably too busy to sign up, but Pine is a real possibility. Hopefully Chris will sign on as he could make a great asshole boss, allowing his more smarmy side to shine.

There’s no word on whether there’s room for Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, or Colin Farrell in Horrible Bosses 2, but Jamie Foxx should return.

The film is scripted by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, with rewrites by director Sean Anders and producer John Morris.

That’s My Boy’s Sean Anders To Direct Horrible Bosses 2

September 4, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Sean-AndersJust under a month ago, Seth Gordon dropped out of helming Horrible Bosses 2 due to scheduling conflicts. New Line Cinema has brought moved fast to find a replacement signing Sean Anders to direct, with his frequent collaborator John Morris serving as executive producer, according to THR.

Anders & Morris wrote the recent hit We’re the Millers, along with Sex Drive, She’s Out of My League, Hot Tub Time Machine, Mr. Popper’s Penguins and the upcoming Dumb and Dumber To. Sean also directed Sex Drive and That’s My Boy.

Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis and Jamie Foxx are reprising their roles. Horrible Bosses followed a group of disgruntled employees who hatch a plan to kill their bosses. Writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wrote the screenplay for this sequel, with Anders and Morris recently performing a rewrite. No specific plot details have been released at this time.

The current plan is to start shooting this autumn.

That’s My Boy (DVD)

January 20, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Vanilla Ice, Leighton Meester
Director: Sean Anders
Running Time: 116 mins
Certificate: 15
Release Date: January 21st 2013

With Razzie nominations, a 22% rotten score on RottenTomatoes and plenty of critical derision – one reviewer said, ‘It may be the worst film, in any genre, ever made’ – I can’t say I had much hope for That’s My Boy, especially as I’m not exactly a member of the Adam Sandler fan club. However That’s My Boys wasn’t quite as dreadful as I expected – don’t get me wrong, it’s not a great movie, but it was just about watchable [Read more…]

Ferrell & Wahlberg’s 3 Mississippi Gets A Director

April 12, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Will Ferrell could do with a hit, and having had success with sports comedies in the past, he’s hoping that 3 Mississippi will rack up some decent box office numbers. Now the project has found a director, who is also part of a writing team who’ll come in and take a new look at the script.

THR reports that Sean Anders and John Morris have been brought in to rework the screenplay, which has already gone through at least one draft. It’s Anders, who helmed Sex Drive, who will be taking on the directing reins.

3 Mississippi was previously known as Turkey Bowl, and is about guys from football-obsessed towns who lead rival teams in an annual tackle football game, in order to get bragging and trash-talking rights. Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are set to reunite (following The Other Guys) as the team leaders, with the hope that shooting can begin this September.

That’s My Boy Trailer

March 2, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

I’m pretty much immune to the charms of Adam Sandler, but he’s undoubtedly popular, as even his movies that are considered flops generally turn a profit when all is said and done. To my eyes, even the trailer for That’s My Boy is painful to view, but it’ll undoubtedly be a big hit. In the movie Sandler plays an absent father who moves in with his son right before his wedding and soon begins sparring with his daughter-in-law, as well as causing chaos in everyone’s lives. It’s due out in June.

First Photo From Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 & Adam Sandler’s Donny’s Son

January 17, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The first images have arrived online for a couple of films that are hoping to be this year’s big comedy hits – This Is 40 and Donny’s Son. The pic above is our first look at This Is 40, Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up spin-off, which focuses on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s married couple, Pete and Debiie. The two children in the image are Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, Judd’s real-life daughters, who play Pete and Debbie’s two kids in the movie. Not too much is known about the plot, other than it’ll be a coming-of-midlife dramedy. The film is currently set for UK release on December 21st.

Below is the first image from Donny’s Son, previously known as I Hate You, which pairs former Saturday Night Live cast member Adam Sandler with current SNL-er Andy Samberg as a father and son who don’t quite see eye-to-eye. Sandler dad-character moves in with his son right before his wedding and soon begins sparring with his prospective daughter-in-law. It’s due out September 7th.
