Does A Famous Director’s Penis Appear In Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping?

May 31, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

judd-apatowJudd Apatow is the director behind the likes of Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Trainwreck. However, if Akiva Shaffer is to be believed, he’s also been doing a bit of work in front of the camera – or at least his penis has.

Lonely Island’s comedy film Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping hits cinemas shortly and features a scene in a limo with Andy Samberg as music star Conner4Real. When the window is rolled down, a dick suddenly appears, as a male fan wants to get the hop hop star to sign it. While we never see who the bits belong to, they apparently have a fairly extended cameo (at least for a mainstream movie, where the sight of cock is pretty much verboten).

So whose bits are they? It’s not clear if he is joking or not, but writer/director/star Akiva Shaffer says it’s Apatow’s (who is a producer on Popstar). Akiva told Billboard, “It’s actually his d–k in the window of the car. He wanted to show it because he was like, ‘I’ve had this normal but really well-proportioned dick my whole life, and I’ve never shown it. And I’m afraid I’m getting older and going to lose the bod soon.’”

It is really his? You’ll have to head to the cinema and decide for yourself.

Tilda Swinton, Ezra Miller & Barhad Abdi May Have A Trainwreck

March 19, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tilda-swintonJudd Apatow’s Trainwreck may have a fairly little known name at its centre – Amy Schumer – but the director is ensuring there are more interesting names around her. Already cast are Bill Hader, Brie Larson and Colin Quinn.

Now the likes of THR, TheWrap & Variety reports he’s court loads more actors, including recent Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi, comedian Mike Birbiglia, Girls’ Jon Glaser, SNL’s Vanessa Bayer, WWE superstar John Cena, Perks of Being A Wallflower’s Ezra Miller and the superlative Tilda Swinton. It’s certainly an eclectic but interesting mix.

It’s not known who they will play, but that’s not too much of a surprise as Apatow has been keeping his cards close to his chest about this one, other than that it’s about ‘a basket case who tries to rebuild her life’. It’s also known a best friend/co-worker and a parent play a major role.

It’ll be in cinemas July 2015.

Brie Larson Is Having A Trainwreck In Judd Apatow’s New Film

February 19, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

brie-larsonJudd Apatow’s new movie is coming together. Last November the film was announced with the director basing it around actress Amy Schumer. Then last month Bill Hader signed up. Now there’s another name to add, as Variety reports that Brie Larson is in talks for the film.

The film has previously been described as being about ‘a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent.’ It’s not known exactly who either Larson or Hader will play.

It isn’t clear when shooting will start, but Universal Pictures has already set a July 24, 2015 release date for the movie.

Bill Hader In Talks For Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck

January 31, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

bill-haderBack in November, director Judd Apatow revealed that he was set to helm Trainwreck, which Amy Schumer will take the lead role in. Now she may have some company as Variety reports that Bill Hader is in talks to join the Universal Pictures comedy.

The film has previously been described as being about ‘a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent.’ It’s not known who Hader will be, although it’s most likely he’s up for the boyfriend role.

Judd Apatow Will Direct Amy Schumer In A Train Wreck

November 27, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

judd-apatowKnocked Up and This Is 40 helmer Judd Apatow has decided on his next film as he has signed on to direct Train Wreck, which already has Amy Schumer attached to star, according to THR.

Schumer will play ‘a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent.’

She may not be particularly well known, but Apatow must have confidence in her, especially as this is the film movie he’ll direct that he didn’t also write. Judd is currently seeking actors to play the her boyfriend, best friend/co-worker and one of her parents. He has apparently met with actors in Los Angeles for these parts, while Amy Schumer and producer Barry Mendel are also holding casting sessions in New York.

Schumer is best known for her hit Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer. She has also appeared in films such as Sleepwalk with Me, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and Price Check.

This Is 40 Red Band Trailer – Paul Rudd tries to look up his own butt

December 11, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

The sort-of sequel to Knocked Up, This Is 40, hits UK cinemas on February 14th, and to get us excited things are getting a little rude with a new red band trailer, where Paul Rudd tries to look up his butt and Megan Fox shows off her bra. It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

The film focuses on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s married couple from Knocked Up, Pete and Debbie, taking a look at their lives five years later as they reach their 40s. That involves a lot of dealing with kids, negotiating sex and putting up with the idiosyncracies of life. The film also stars Jason Segel, Chris O’Dowd, Melissa McCarthy and Albert Brooks.

August 8, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Judd Apatow is back with a spin-off from Knocked Up, which focuses on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s married couple from that movie, Pete and Debbie. The two children in the image are Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, Judd’s real-life daughters, who play Pete and Debbie’s two kids in the movie. Not too much is known about the plot, other than it’ll be a coming-of-midlife dramedy. This Is 40 is currently set for UK release on February 14th.

The first images have arrived online for a couple of films that are hoping to be this year’s big comedy hits – This Is 40 and Donny’s Son. The pic above is our first look at This Is 40, Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up spin-off, which focuses on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s married couple, Pete and Debiie. The two children in the image are Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, Judd’s real-life daughters, who play Pete and Debbie’s two kids in the movie. Not too much is known about the plot, other than it’ll be a coming-of-midlife dramedy. The film is currently set for UK release on December 21st.

Below is the first image from Donny’s Son, previously known as I Hate You, which pairs former Saturday Night Live cast member Adam Sandler with current SNL-er Andy Samberg as a father and son who don’t quite see eye-to-eye. Sandler dad-character moves in with his son right before his wedding and soon begins sparring with his prospective daughter-in-law. It’s due out September 7th.
