New Avengers: Age Of Ultron Poster Unites Heroes Old & new

Believe it or not but it’s now less than two months until Avengers: Age Of Ultron on April 23rd 2015 (and a week later in the US). As a result it’s time for the official poster which brings together an awsul lot of heroes, including Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and newcomers Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

It looks cool if a little and rather generic, especially with Vision and loads of robots flying around in the background.

Here’s the short synopsis: ‘When Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.’

It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård with James Spader and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

New Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer – Thor, Hulk, Iron Man & Co. Up The Action

The new trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron may start out fairly quietly, but by the end of its running time it’s certainly upped the action, with plenty of explosions, fighting and perhaps most excitingly for fans, some hulkbusting.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

‘Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. A few weeks ago we got our first look at Avengers: Age Of Ultron with a trailer. Now a new extended version has arrived, giving us a little bit more of the movie, including more interaction between our heroes.

After the disaster that was Roland Emmerich’s dreadful 1998 take on Godzilla you might have thought Hollywood would never touch the property again. However the massive monster has returned in a movie that sticks closer to the original Japanese Toho ideas than Emmerich’s efforts, and yet is still very much a modern blockbuster.

While working at a Japanese Nuclear Reactor in the late 1990s, Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) lost his wife (Juliette Binoche) during a meltdown. However he’s never believed it was caused by an earthquake and has become obsessed with the idea that something is being hidden in the supposed disaster area. After recruiting his estranged son, Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), they venture into the hot zone and discover that not only is there no radiation, but that an organisation called Monarch is hiding a pupating monster. Avengers: Age Of Utron Teaser Trailer – Heroes old and new unite

We weren’t meant to get the Avengers: Age Of Utron teaser until next week, but after the trailer leaked Marvel quickly decided that rather than trying to put the genie back in the bottle they’d go with it and release official versions.

It’s certainly a big one, offering a great look at the movie, including new heroes such as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, along with plenty of creepily robotic bad guys and an Iron Man who looks like tank. It also suggests things won’t go well for everyone, and that even an adamantium shield may not protect you.

The Full Avengers: Age Of Ultron Concept Art Poster Is Here

Yesterday we posted four Avengers: Age Of Ultron concept art posters, and now we’ve got the other four, which all piece together to make the giant battle poster above.

The new posters feature Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. And if you look at the Quicksilver pic you’ll notice someone floating about in the background, which is believed to be Vision.

Vision is the sentient, embodied version of Paul Bettany’s Jarvis, Tony Stark’s assistant. However it’s now known what side he’ll be on, or whether as in the comics he is created by villainous Ultron, which is other Stark tech designed to help mankind when the Avengers aren’t around, but which goes rogue and causes all manner of trouble.

Take A 1st Official Look At Ultron & Aaron Johnson’s Quicksilver From Avengers: Age Of Ultron

It may not be out until May 2015, but EW is getting in early with a cover for Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which gives us our first popular look at the titular villain himself – Ultron.

Along with that are a set of cool (if rather generic images), which include a good look at a hunky blond Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen and Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

The accompanying story also confirms a couple of things, including that there will multiple Ultrons, and that they are based on Tony Stark’s technology, which became corrupted and turned evil.

The magazine says, ‘For better or worse (trust us, it’s worse), his Tony Stark has devised a plan that won’t require him to put on the Iron Man suit anymore, and should allow Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk to get some much needed R&R as well. His solution is Ultron, self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark’s Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers instead.

‘The only problem? Ultron (played by James Spader through performance-capture technology) lacks the human touch, and his superior intellect quickly determines that life on Earth would go a lot smoother if he just got rid of Public Enemy No. 1: Human beings. “Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, ‘Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better’; he’s not just going ‘Muhaha, soon I’ll rule!’” [director, Joss] Whedon says, rubbing his hands together.’

Godzilla Asia Trailer – The best look at the monsters yet?

Most of the marketing for Godzilla has been based around hiding the big beastie, but it appear audiences in Asia wouldn’t put up with any of that nonsense, and so this Asian trailer gives us our best look at the giant lizard yet – along with the other monsters that feature in the movie.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Gets Shirtless And Manly For Men’s Health

Following his ridiculous buffness in Kick-Ass 2, if you were wondering if Aaron Taylor-Johnson was going to get off the health kick and go back to the skinny guy he was when he first found success, he’s showing in the latest issue of Men’s Health that he’s still all muscle.

As you can see in the pics above and below, he’s very happy to show just how fit he is and how rippled he can make his torso look when given the chance.

Keeping very fit has probably been extremely useful, as he’s got the all-action Godzilla coming this summer, and now he’s heading to the set of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, where he’s playing Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver.

And let’s hope for plenty of Aaron shirtlessness in both those movies! [Read more…]
