Jim Caviezel Enters The Tomb Opposite Sly and Arnie

February 21, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

It’s gonna be Rambo vs. The Terminator vs. Jesus himself in The Tomb, as with Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger have been joined by Jim Caviezel in the prison drama. Producer Mark Canton revealed on The Matthew Aaron Show that Caviezel has signed on to play the Warden.

Here’s what the producer had to say below about his growing cast, “It’s a big deal, because I always wanted Sly and Arnold together. The Expendables is fantastic, but where they’re really mono y mono, like in Heat, or a movie of that quality. We have this great director in Mikael Håfström, and yesterday we signed Jim Caviezel to play the Warden. It’s going to be a great cast. For me, it’s a very big thing to work with those guys together.”

The film is about Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone), a security expert who designed the most secure prison known to man. When he’s framed for a crime and sent to the prison he designed, he must outsmart himself to escape. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Church, an inmate who helps his fellow prisoners stay in touch with their own humanity.

Shooting is scheduled to begin this spring in Louisiana.

Schwarzenegger & Stallone Confirmed for The Tomb

February 9, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

In the 1980s, film fans cried out for a film that would team Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone together in one movie, but it never happened. However since Arnie’s returned to the movies from politics, they can’t stop working together. After two Expendables movies, the duo have now been confirmed for The Tomb, which starts shooting this spring, with Mikael Hafstrom (1408) directing.

The Tomb follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills, but all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.

Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays ‘a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey’. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.
